Houston will want prospects. Their rotation might not make the starting five in Pawtucket, save for Oswalt, so I think some starting pitching will have to go from Boston to Houston.

Why would Boston need Lidge anyway? Papelbon is still decent as a acloser, and now that Ojiawa has proven he can pick up the occasional save, he can be the closer of the future.

trade Julian Tavarez and a Draft Pick to the Astros for Brad Lidge and Roy Oswalt.

Red Sox get:
Mark Loretta
Brad Lidge

Astros get:
J.D. Drew
Julian Taverez

p.s. lidge is on the DL and is the biggest head case in MLB right now. he isn't going anywhere in a trade. he will be lucky to get another closing job when his contract is up.
