Of course he's going to beat Hank Aaron's home run record. He is on pace to hit over 900 home runs in his career. As long as he doesn't get injured he WILL break Hank Aaron's home run record.

A-Rod's got 494 HR's now, and will be 32 on July 27th of this year. Let's assume he hits 25 HR in the second half of this year, and plays 7 more seasons with 30 HR.
494 + 25 = 519
30x8 = 210
519+240=759
The average over 8 years may increase by a HR or two over 30, but it's not going to be as close as many assume it will be.

If he plays another 7 or 10 years at the pace hes going, he will surley beat the homerun record.
Another thing I was playing MLB 07 The Show in carrer mode, and in the year 2025 A-rod was elected into the hall of fame and had 801 homeruns.

He may have a shot. He is only 31 and probably needs six more decent seasons to get in the 750 range, putting him at only 37. Now, he does play third base, and may go to shortstop the next team he plays for, but he has been very durable and is in great shape so I think he could hit 800 and pass Bonds.

Sure he can. Currently he has 500 homers at age 31. If he keeps hitting home runs at the pace he is now (38 per season) he'll be at 750 in 7 seasons and 38 years old.

He can beat Aaron's record, but will he. I think with the pitching the way it is now that he won't, the pitchers will just start to walk him everytime he comes to bat. Also injuries can stop him. If the pitchers in MLB change their ways, he will probably beat out Aaron and Bonds but then lose it to Pujols, who is on a great pace.

As long as A-Rod doesnt pull a Griffy and get hurt its pretty much a done deal that A-Rod will not only beat the all time HR record, but demolish it, i say A-Rod finishes with over 800 career HR's

I think, barring injuries Arod should have the career home run record for a few years, then perhaps lose to Pujols (who is ahead of him on a hr/ab pace at equal times in their careers)
But then again, it's easier to hit home runs now than it was for Aaron.

yes theyve done the math actually. if he hits 35 homeruns everyseason and he plays until hes like 40 or something, he'll break the record. i totally think he can do it. i mean this season hes at 30 and we still have 1/2 the season to go!! go A-rod wooohooo!!!!

He will most likely, as long as he stays healthy. Also, Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera have a shot but A-rod has the best shot.
