No, all three are outstanding players and a major reason why the Mets are in first place, and maybe the best team in the National League.

Carlos : Half and Half
Jose : YES!!!
David Wright : 100% yes. People say hes a Alex Rodriguez. Hes no A-Rod....
J.J. Hardy Sort of, he really his going to slump in the 2nd half and end up with just a O.K. season.
Ken Griffey Jr. Carrer Wise : No Seasonwise : No.
Ken Griffey Jr has had a breakout season after nagging injuries, he is NOT overrated.

i think every one is making such a big deal about J.J hardy becasue he is having his best season and had an amazing start. Jose Reyes Carlos Beltran and David Wright are all good players and i hate them for that becasue they play for the mets. But maybe just maybe Jose Reyes is overrated just a litte tiny bit. i don't care what the rest of the world thinks about david wright all in know is that david Wright is overrated in MY life because he is so freakin hot. the hottest baseball player on the face of the Earth, and i hate the mets! sorry to get off topic and i am sure i will get 5 thumbs down for getting off topic

Overrated means the general consensus of these players is significantly above their actual skills, so it depends on what a person thinks of these players.
So, they can't be over rated, only the opinion of a person you ask.
If I said that Beltran was histories best player, I am over rating him as I don't have anything substantial to back that up.
If I said Reyes is the best leadoff hitter in history, this is over rating him since his name is NOT Rickey Henderson.
See what I mean.
Reyes is a very good shortstop with outstanding speed and only looks to get better, that is rating him correctly.
Now, reading a reply from a Met fan that has to use the "f" work four times and then saying that he is likely very intelligent, is over rating him.
So, Reyes, very good, very quick player,
Beltran, all round player in the top 25 in the majors at the moment and has power, speed and defence.
Wright a very good hitter with developing power and the ability to drive in runs.
I think these descriptions all rate the players fairly.

all three of them are very good players. I would say David Wright is somewhat overatted because he's young and overhyped by sportscasters such as ESPN and SI but hasn't quite put up amazing numbers (don't get me wrong, I think he is currently a very good player and will probably be a great player very soon).
JJ Hardy on the otherhand is probably very overatted at the moment simply because he went hot for the first half of the season, but if you take a look at his numbers by month, he has a very very hot month followed by a very poor one. God knows if he'll be able to continue his output for the rest of this season (considering the brewers are slowing down quite a bit), let alone in following seasons.
Bonds, even though I hate him and wish he were overatted, probably isn't considering his ridiculous career stats

As a fellow met fan hell no they are not overated. These three were the one that holded the lineup together. Jose Reyes is a f ucking maniac that has every thing you want from a player and he can play the shortstop possition incredibly well.. Reyes has a laser gun for an arm and can make up anything with his speed. Carlos Beltran hits for power and contact and he is the best defensive centerfielder. Not Jones (Andrew) or any other centerfielder. You can make a argument with Hunter. David Wright is everything you f ucking look for. He has the bat, speed, defense, charisma, great chemistry, and will be a future coach. How the f uck are these players overated.

Wow some of these answers are shocking.
the answer is no..
Mets are in first place.
Reyes is the most exciting player in the game by far...
David wright will have another comparable season to last year, and will only get better.
Do we need to talk about Beltran? He is a switch hitter who hits for average, power.. Can run fast, has a cannon, a good glove and brings a quite leadership presence to the ball club...

No, not at all...they are very good ball players.
They may end up LOOKING overrated when they bat next to the best player of the modern era...and arguably the G.O.A.T...but they are still very good players, and deserving of their All-Star status.
As for JJ Hardy...who knows? He's only played in around 250 games...not even two full seasons....but he's having a decent year.
I don't understand the inclusion of Junior on this list??
You can say he plays without all the passion you might like to see...and he's been hurt WAY TOO much...but come on...the only way I can see him referred to as overrated is when some foolish people want to say he's better than Barry. "IF" he hadn't gotten hurt...maybe.

No. Beltran is the best speed and power combo guy in the league and Wright/Reyes are young and very talented. These guys can get better.

only wright is
Remember in the 04 playoffs he carried the houston astros himself..wait i think its 05...not sure which one but a couple years ago HE WILLED the astros into the playoffs and he carried them thru the 1st round and helped them make some noise in the playoffs even tho the astros came up empty...withouth him they would've been swept!
Reyes is an amazing talent...dude's got some pop, amazing speed, clutch hitting, defensse, poise, leadership ,etc
Wright is truly overrated. He hits meaningless homeruns...that is he htis them when it doesn't count, when his team is trailing by like 8 runs in the bottom of the 8th or when his team's up 10 runs at the bottom of the 8th or whatever inning the mets are batting
He does well against pathetic and atrocious pitchers
he chokes mightily in the clutch and without the threat of reyes on the basepaths, he wouldn't be sneaking in singles and doubles by guys and hit distracted pitchers (because of reyes)
He puts up pathetic numbers against above average pitchers...i've never liked him
he's overrated defensively
definitely overrated offensively
Miguel Cabrera should've started over him in the all star game but more fans voted for wright and since its a popularity contest i guess wright starts
But in conclusion, beltran and reyes are legit and WRIGHT IS HELLA OVERRATED
