I've heard of hitting it off the logo side (obviously on the barrel)

The Sweet Spot, which is opposite the logo and usually near the thickest part of the bat. However, the spot moves from bat to bat, check the grain of the wood opposite the logo, where the grain is packed tightest closest to that spot... that's your bat's sweet spot.

Whoever said on the logo side is trying to get you to brake your bat. Hitting a baseball on the logo side will break your bat easier. You got to have the logo facing away from the ball.

Look at the bat and find the grain. Now you want to hit it with that part going with the grain meaning not where the it is wide but on the part where it is tightly packed together.

I would try a baseball field. If you do it the back yard and brake a windown your dad is going to get mad.
