I know that I'm beating a dead horse, but, if we are to insist on putting an asterisk after Bonds numbers, what about the numbers put up by Giambi, Palmeiro, McGwire, Sosa, Canseco, Clemens, and any other under suspicion by the general public? Just because Bonds is going for the record? If he had no chance of breaking the record, would we still care? Should we take a "verified" abuser like Giambi and Palmeiro and just plain erase their numbers for the last 10 years? If we ignore one mans numbers, we need to go across the boards.
Thoughts?

A Tulsa Drillers coach was struck in the head by a foul ball Sunday and pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital.

Is anyone aware of other accidents of this magnitude that has occurred before?

My parents have this wacky notion that they are computerized on screen because of the fact that the signs are switched between innings and/or commercials. That may be completely possible, but I insist to them that they are actual signs that are switched or rotated via sign-rotating-machine or just changed by hand. Silly question, I know. But it's an ongoing debate between us.

Barry Bonds is quickly approaching Hank Aaron's record of 755 career home runs and will probably break it very soon. Steroids controversy as well as other legal woes have raised a lot of suspicion about Bonds. Many people believe the only reason he came back to the Giants and MLB at all this year was to break Hank Aaron's record, which he failed to do last season. Once that is done, do you think Bonds will still look to play for another season?

Do you think they discriminate minorites? The teams for the past 25yrs or so have been made up of mostly white players. While other teams have more minorities on their teams, what do you all think. (am I way off here?)

I think it is the White Sox. Go to the Cell and they are crazy. They are pretty underrated and they have great chemistry. I love the Na Na Na Hey Hey. They are still getting 37,000 fans despite the bad season. And when we win, it's an eruption.

As a huge fan of the Indians, I am really hoping that CC will stay in Cleveland. He came up through our farm system and is featured on the Mahoning Valley Scrappers home page. The question is that there is a lot of pitching starved teams out there who will be more than willing to throw millions at him ala Meche (who is not nearly as good as CC). So - here is the place for rumor, innuendo...etc. from fans and foes alike!

Is it feasible for Billy Butler to win the AL rookie of the year award? He has been nothing less than stellar since he was called up a few weeks ago. Dice-K is really the only other legitimate candidate in the AL right now, and he hasn't exactly been the ace that he was hyped up to be. I personally haven't been impressed with him at all.

And remember, Ryan Howard only played half a season when he won the award for the NL.
