He's had a good season, but he cannot be the rookie of the year. In order to qualify as a rookie you can't have had more than 130 at bats in a previous season (or 50 inning pitched for a pitcher). Upton had 175 at bats last year and 159 in 2004.

I like Upton a lot and I believe he has a huge upside potential but he does not qualify as a rookie due to past activity in MLB. As you say, he is putting up good numbers this year and will finish the season with good numbers. However, even if he was a rookie, how can he possibly be ROY when Dice-K has a shot at 20 wins in his rookie year? Upton would have gotten some votes but Dice-K would win it going away, barring any unforeseen problems.

i could commerce Upton for Wagner in a heartbeat. His fee heavily isn't greater. And so some distance as dropping wood worker, I had to do it too, yet his contributions would be minor over the long haul. remember, you are going to be able to locate somebody with an open DL slot keen to take a great gamble on him nonetheless, so which you are going to be able to desire to objective to comprise him in a commerce.

I would think that because of the number of games he has missed that it will probably keep him from geting it. His team mate Delmon Young is another candidate for the roy.

could also be braun or corey hart (i believe he still counts as a rookie).... all three of them have been very solid

for pithcing, okajima has been possibly the best middle reliever in the game, and hes a rookie too...

Worthy stats, but he plays for the D-Rays which means 3 people know he exsists, and two of them are his parents.

Ryan Braun will win it hands down if he keeps up what he is doing.. but otherwise it should be Upton.

I would love to see that, but he is not eligible. He already has too many AB's in two previous seasons.
