As a huge fan of the Indians, I am really hoping that CC will stay in Cleveland. He came up through our farm system and is featured on the Mahoning Valley Scrappers home page. The question is that there is a lot of pitching starved teams out there who will be more than willing to throw millions at him ala Meche (who is not nearly as good as CC). So - here is the place for rumor, innuendo...etc. from fans and foes alike!

I think he will stay in Cleveland and the Indians will do anyhting to keep him. Plus if he goes this is their starting rotation:

1.Fausto Carmona
2.Jake Westbrook
3.Cliff Lee
4.Paul Byrd
5.Jeremy Sowers

There is no question that the Indians will want to sign Sabathia to a long term contract. The fans in Cleveland would go nuts if the team lets him go elsewhere.

Yes. He said recently he won't leave Cleveland until he wins a championship there. And contrary to popular belief the Indians do have enough money to sign him. I see them locking him up for 5-8 years. He should be an Indian for life.

yes, they intend on signing him to a long contract when this one is over. He's their ace and they love having him in Cleveland. The Indians pitching staff is led by him and he is at the top of his career right now; they'll definitely keep him for the long haul.

I don't know I hope he will stay too. I think the Indians organization will probably do anything they can to keep him, since he is so valuable to the team.
