First two answers are sweeps by Boston. I highly doubt there will be a sweep by either of them.

at the jake? 2-2 split like this

G1: Bosox 7-6 (westbrook is struggling)
G2: Cleve 8-4 (CC is always solid 7 innings)
G3: Cleve 9-3 (break the bullpen late)
G4: Bosox 8-3 (Lee gives up the gopher ball)

Gm 1 - Boston 7 Cleveland 6
Gm 2 - Boston 4 Cleveland 5 (Bullpen Game)
Gm 3 - Boston 4 Cleveland 3
Gm 4 - Boston 9 Cleveland 5

Great Pitching matchups in gms 2 and 3 with each team taking 1. I may be a little sympathetic to Lester in Gm 1, but I like the chances better of the Sox teeing off on Westbrook (plus the Sox bats are hot right now) as opposed to the Indians on Lester (They've only seen him once... last year). Game 4 could go either way, but Gabbard's been too good to bet against so I'm predicting a win for him.

Looking at the matchups, that's what I came up with, but it'll probably be 3/4 for the indians just to fault my logic!

I will go with Westbrook, Sabathia, Beckett and Gabbard. Is that a typo because his name is Kason Gabbarn not Jason Gabbard. I say Westbrook because Lester is just now returning from a long stint in the minors and had some rough outings after returning to pitch from a tight forearm. In fact, that is how Gabbard got the call from the minors ahead of him. If Sabathia is on, Indians can beat Dice-K. These games really could go either way - Carmona and Beckett should be a pitchers duel if they both bring their A game. Gabbard will be hard to beat if Lee stinks it up again. Sabathia has been inconsistent since the All Star break and Westbrook, who knows which Jake will show up at the Jake? But again, I vote for:
Westbrook
Sabathia
Beckett
Gabbard

I can see the Indians winning the first two, because Westbrook will have some help and Dice K isn't as good as he was before. I can see Beckett winning the third game because he's been on a roll all season. The fourth game is a toss up between the two, but I think the Red Sox's hitting will get out of that one on top.

I made a prediction on another post that Boston would take 3 of 4. But I also didn't look at the pitching match-ups either. So here is what I think:

Game 1: CLE d. BOS (7-3)

Game 2: CLE d. BOS (5-4)

Game 3: BOS d. CLE (8-6)

Game 4: CLE d BOS (1-0)

Boston is weak and I'm going to stand by that comment. Cleveland is very underrated in my opinion. Boston only gets so much respect because of who they are, not by earning it. They are the third best team to me in the AL and not too far ahead of the Indians. I would pick Cleveland to beat them in the playoffs as well. Rain down the thumbs on me because I don't have much respect for the Sox. Too many people overrate them.

I see the first game going to the Tribe 5-3 only because its Jon Lester's first game back and he'll have the jitters.
I see the Tribe taking the second game 7-1 as well because they have CC Bigguy going and he's been on a roll this season.
I see Bawstan taking game three 2-1 because of Beckett but this is the only game that the Redsox win. I see Cliff Lee with a big game 4-3.

I think the sox will take tonight's game, because they will be pumped for Lester's return. I think the second game is a toss up, but will give it to the Indians. Sox will take game three and the Tribe will take game four. The Sox have a rough time with lefties, so I think they will struggle in those games that I chose for losses. Split decision. I will take that. Anything more would be a bonus.
