2004 Red Sox with 8

In one post season it is 8 as done by the 2004 Red Sox and 2005 White Sox.

Edit:
In consecutive post seasons it is actually 12 (not 9 as I had previously stated) done by the Yankees from 1998 to 1999.

The Yankees won 12 consecutive, sweeping in three straight World Series appearances in 1927, 1928, and 1932. That streak ended in the first game of the 1936 Series. The Yankees also had a 10-game streak in the late 1930s and early 1940s.

More recently, the Red Sox and White Sox both had 8-game streaks, which had been done previously by the mid-70s Reds.
