I think it is the White Sox. Go to the Cell and they are crazy. They are pretty underrated and they have great chemistry. I love the Na Na Na Hey Hey. They are still getting 37,000 fans despite the bad season. And when we win, it's an eruption.

There is an old question used to test a samurai's bushido, or honor code: which is a greater display of bushido, serving a good master, or serving an evil one? The better answer is the evil master, as doing his bidding may be a harder thing to do in light of one's personal feelings, but upholding the honor code in difficult circumstances is indeed a greater test.

(Good lord: Samurai, go and help feed the orphans.
Samurai: yes sire!

Evil lord: Samurai, go and behead the orphans, bwa ha ha! (gleefully wrings hands)
Samurai: (sigh)... yes, sire....)

In that light, any fans of the Devil Rays must be the greatest fans in baseball, because the team has done nothing worth remembering (okay, Boggs' 3000th hit, but even that's a stretch) in its entire ten-year history. Stick with that lousy a team for that long (and even Royals or Pirates fans have SOME glory, getting more distant in the past every day, but it was there once upon a time) and one truly, deeply, madly is a great fan.

If there are any Devil Rays fans, they deserve this much credit. They might be silent, they might be numb and inured, they might be delusional -- but they are undoubtedly fans of the first water. Anyone can love a first-place team; it takes a multiple-repeat doormat to really test the fan's bushido.

As a Braves fan I would love to say Atlanta. However, Braves fans are too spread out among the southen states and the city of Atlanta is infested with transplants, so our stadium usually has quite a few of the opposing team's fans in it. Turner Field is also a pain in the *** to get to so most fan's would rather watch on TV then sit in 2 hours of traffic to go to the game.

The benefit of this, is my knowledge of other teams fans, namely the National League Teams. The worst fans belong to the Cubs and Mets. They are both so incredibly obnoxious and whiney. They will ***** the entire game about the umps or how bad of a time they are having. Red Sox and Yankee fans are just assholes. They have no respect for their surroundings or the host cities fans. They walk in and immediately think that they are at Fenway or Yankee Stadium and think they can do whatever they want because they are from the Jerusalem of Baseball. I've got news for New York, Boston, and ESPN: Baseball exists elsewhere.

Anyway, the best fans are St. Louis Cardinal fans. They are respectful, knowledgeable, and usually pretty funny. I've seen a group of Cardinal fans give Andrew Jones a standing ovation for a miraculous catch, because they understand that what they just saw was special.

I don't know much about the American League Fans other than what I have heard, which is Cleveland fans are the best.

St. Louis. I'm not from there, so don't go crazy on me. I have watched games there quite a few times, though, and the Cardinal fans are far and away the most knowledgeable. They are also the best sports. The actually will cheer for an exceptional play by the opposition. There are always families there and they pull for the Cards in a big way.

Anaheim also has a good crowd. A lot of them are transplants from other areas, so you get a great mix. The White Sox crowds, typically, are good, too.

definitely the best fans in chicago

but sox/cubs fans have to be near the top to put up with almost 100 years and no World Series. I think its 99 years now for the cubs, and the sox were near 90 when they won their last one

and to kevin b below, i think you'll find most people outside of Cleveland that deal with their fans will call Indians fans the worst. Not FAIRWEATHER, just arrogant, obnoxious, and illogical, at least from what i get on sports message boards. And reread my comment i made about the white sox and the 90 years

WORST FANS

1. Yankees

2. Red Sox

3. White Sox

4. Tigers

thos are based on trash talking and cockyness

BEST FANS

1. Indians
2. Cubs more just drunken fun than cocky (real chicago team)
3. I went to a Reds game they aren't bad
4. Brewers fans seem cool

some people are dumb, the Whitesox just won the series, who said it has been 90 some years.

The person who said that the Indians are fairweather, they haven't won a world series since 1948, and they have so many fans that have been Indians fans for 70 + years, that has to be the most unfounded statement I have heard on here in a while.. They are far from a fairweather team.

I have to say the Red Sox fan for enduring so many let downs over the years and still being so devoted. Not to mention that Fenway is always sold out.

Obviously every team will think they have the best fans. . . .Red Sox have one of the longest sell out streaks in history going right now. Over 300 games in a row. . . .
