There is such a fine line between having a winning team or a losing team in MLB that it can be difficult to pick the right direction. The Reds now have the worst record in MLB this year with no hope in sight. What recommendations would you offer to Reds management to finish out this year and for the future of the franchise?

How do they decide who gets the decision if about three different pitchers pitch during the game?

I thought it was who had the most pitches or innings pitched, but now i realize its not because scott proctor pitched 1/3 innings the other day and was credited with a loss for the Yankees

My son's 12 year old baseball team is headed to Cooperstown, NY for a week-long baseball tournament. My 10 year old daughter and I are set up to rent a house with a couple other moms and daughters. Wondering if I should ship daughter to her aunt's instead. How bored will she be? Is there much for her to do in Cooperstown besides baseball?

In the A.L. there are 2 fewer teams than the N.L. In the A.L. Central and East you have 5 teams and 5 teams in the N.L. East and West. But in the A.L. West you only have 4 teams and in the N.L. Central you have 6 teams. Anyone have any reasoning on this? Just thought it was odd. In the A.L. you only have 14 teams fighting for 4 playoff spots and in the N.L. you have 16 teams fighting for 4 playoff spots? What's your take on this?

I'm in a 20 team league w/ rather large rosters. Saves are at a premium. I keep looking for Troy Percival to pop up as an available player since he was recently signed by the Cardinals. How long does it take for new players or players called up to show up as an available option?

does anyone believe that the orioles can somehow pull things together enough to at least get a wild card in the playoff this season?
what about ever making the world series ever again, i think that it would be awesome but unfortunatly not likely with powerhouses like the yankees and red sox. especially since they are in the same division.

I am currently trying to write a Claim Of Policy essay - an essay in which I argue a change for something that should be implemented - and I want to focus my topic on something related to baseball. It can't be steroids, because I've already done that. Some of the policy claims I was thinking of writing on were...

1. Why Pete Rose should be reinstated.

2. Why the Hall Of Fame voting process is skewed.

However, I do not think I would be able to get six pages out of those topics, so if anyone has any ideas on what baseball policy to do, that would be great. Thanks!

on a "sure double play" ball hit to the 2nd baseman. The runner realizes it is game over and lets the ball hit him. They say in scoring you can never assume the double play. (1) Runner is out, ball is dead, 2 outs, batter goes back to the plate to hit again? (2) Double play, game over? (3) something else, if so - what?

1500 runs, 2300 hits, 488 doubles, 449 home runs, 200 stolen bases.
lifetime averages-- .297 bat. / .408 obp / .540 slg / .948 ops
obp-on base %
ops-on base + slugging
good enough for hall consideration?
i hope so.
ps.
i didn't realize that biggio is only 14 away from the unthinkable 300 homerun list.
