The foul ball space down the 1st and 3rd base lines in Oakland is ridiculous. http://www.buyselltix.com/mlb/stadium/athleticsStadium.php

I know it makes each park unique but the has to be a limit somewhere.

Someone told me that the ball players who are not American born citizens come here illegally and then are hired by the minor and major leagues.

This is the last year of Hunter's contract and if he goes to free agency he could easily get a huge contract from someone else. Hunter has made it clear that he would like to remain a Twin. Will the Twins sign him to an extension before the end of the season?

You also must consider that Justin Morneau, Joe Nathan, and Johan Santana all have contracts that need to be signed in the next two seasons.

After a 3 game sweep of the Angels, the Royals are only 1.5 games behind the White Sox for 4th place in the AL Central. They have a 3 game series against the ChiSox in KC starting tomorrow. Do you think we could be looking at a Royals team thats not in last place by July 1st??

Personally, I think the Royals take over 4th, never look back and leave the White Sox in the cellar this year. Oh, and for those of you preparing to say "It's the Royals, who cares?" - I care, that's who.

He's not even in my top ten. I'll make a list another time... but saying that Nolan Ryan is one of the greatest pitcher because he has the most strikeouts and the most no-hitters, which is the only argument I've heard is like saying that Pete Rose is the greatest hitter because he has the most hits.

7 no-hitters is impressive. But that is just a tiny bit better than 7 one-hitters, and just a little bit better than 7 two-hitters. In his 773 career starts, 7 games isn't really a lot.

His strikeout total is amazing. But he was a horrible fielder, has the most career walks and led the league in walks 8 times.

He led the league in ERA only twice, never led the league in wins and NEVER WON A CY YOUNG.

He was a very good pitcher and one of the scariest to face but I don't think he should be mentioned among the greats on anyones list. Just my opinion

I've never been a big fan of him, probably because I'm a Twins fan and he has killed us, especially when he was with the Sox. But he just hit 500 career homeruns, and that to me is a great accomplishment! Is that a guaranteed ticket to Cooperstown anymore? Is anyone glad he hit 500 or does nobody care about the Big Hurt anymore?

I mean this abuse has been going on for two years without a finding. They tried to put his manager in federal prison. The press has been dragging this out. Is the outcry because he used these substances? It appears most players used these substances now and when he started playing? I think they (the press) are dragging it out not because he used substances, but because of the great record he is about to break. No one benefits more from sports or does more damage to sports than the ingracious sports press. What are your thoughts?

For example, in an inning with already two out, a starting pitcher gives up 3 straight hits to get the bases loaded.
The coach had enough and called in a relief pitcher, but lets say he gives up a double and two runs scored?
Will the RP get 2 ERAs in his stats for a third of an inning pitched, even though its the starting pitcher who gets him into that hole in the first place?
