No and No.
Griffey it's possible but I think his body won't hold that long. He would have to hit around 50 per year the next two seasons and that's not likely. He won't do it in 2 years that's for sure. Maybe in 3 or 4. He is 37 right now.

Griffey: No. He's getting old, and even though he still has it, I don't think he will be able to make it quite that far.
Thomas: No. He could hit 20 more this season and then 40 the next two seasons, but that's not likely. With his age as well, he won't have many more 40 HR seasons. He might make it there sometime, but again, he;s getting old so the next two seasons are unlikely

Griffey would have to hit 50 each year to do that. Slightly possible but highly unlikely.
Frank Thomas took forever to get to 500 this year and he's DH. No chance of him seeing 600 any time soon if at all in his career.

griffey might if he goes to an american league team in the next year or two to be a DH, because i don't think the reds will be willing to sacrifice defense just so someone can hit more homers (unlike the giants, bonds is a cheater anyway so why bother). frank thomas is a big guy, and alot of big guys start to break down alot after 35, just look at mo vaughn. it usually take one leg injury or back injury to put those guys out of commission. so griffey yes, thomas no

i think griffey will hit 700, he is only 36 and is closing in on 600 this year which i think he will get. On the other hand frank thomas only has about another year of productive baseball left in him and will stop at 530-540

Frank getting # 600 in the next 2 years, practically impossible. He is just at 500, he has never hit 50 in a year when he was in his early 30's, so the chances of him doing it in his 40's is minimal without a trip to Balco.

I don't believe either have enough left in the tank to reach those goals. Griffey might have a chance if he can stay healthy but that is really a long shot given his past health problems and his age.

Ken will have to stay healthy and he can make it...i think Frank will have a hard time because he can't seem to stay healthy. When he is healthy, it takes him too long to get back on track.
