It's a pipe dream phrase that some Yankee fans will say in hopes that they win the world series this year.
How they get the phrase is they started at
27 in '01 and upon each unsuccessful world series run, the incremented the last # by 1.
A healthy offspring of phrases has arisen; 27 in '02, 27 in '03, 27 in '04, 27 in '05, 27 in '06 till finally 27 in '07
Notice how the first set of numbers aren't changing. This coincides with the loss of heart, the thought that money will buy championships and the trading for Alex Rodriquez, whom I have personally cursed to never win a world series until he realizes his greed affects the quality of players around him.
In advanced, I have copyrighted 27 in '08, 27 in '09 and 27 in '10.

it means that the Yankee fan i include myself that 27 ws in 2007 as a support of the Yankees i do because i believe in them and NO I'M NOT A BANDWAGON fan like many people team the people who do that are real fans bandwagons fans already gave up on the Yankees and became a red sox fan or something

im a huge yanks fan and i know we have 26 rings. but i dont go around using it as an out when people make fun of the yankees
