I would have to guess that he will sometime this season. He is only 6 away from tying the record and we have the months of July, August, and September still to play. That is only 2 a month to tie the record. Barring career ending injury, Bonds should have the record by the end of the year.

There is nothing stopping him. Unless a report or injury comes. He will break it. But 10 years from now. the 800 mark will be surpassed by A-ROD so none of this will matter.
