There is no doubt that the yanks are looking for a first baseman. I think that one of three players (Hillenbrand, Mark Texeria, or Scott Hadeberg) will end up there. Texeria will cost them too much, but that has not stopped them before. Hadeberg would be a good addition but the reds need pitching, and the yanks need theirs. So Hillenbrand will probably end up in the bronx, because he is cheap and the Angels don't even want him

Hillenbrand won't want to go to the yankees!
He's not a sell-out and he likes playing for teams that don't just throw mney at people until they get them.
Hillenbrand was on the Red Sox for a long time....he probably hates the yankees because of that anyway.

I say ya, let the Yankees take him. Every where this guy goes he makes enemies. He is a cancer for the club and a complete jerk. If he was only half as good as he proclaims himself to be. He will fit right in with those ego maniac Yankee players and make them an even worse club. Go for it Cashman!!

Don't they seem to take a look at all of these players who were released. Heck they took in Sidney Ponson for a few games.

Sure, if they want to finish in last place. Improves their position in the 2008 draft, it does.
Hillenbrand is deadweight. Might as well convince JT Snow to come out of retirement; he can't hit either, but at least he's good on D.
