In the A.L. there are 2 fewer teams than the N.L. In the A.L. Central and East you have 5 teams and 5 teams in the N.L. East and West. But in the A.L. West you only have 4 teams and in the N.L. Central you have 6 teams. Anyone have any reasoning on this? Just thought it was odd. In the A.L. you only have 14 teams fighting for 4 playoff spots and in the N.L. you have 16 teams fighting for 4 playoff spots? What's your take on this?

It is called the Milwaukee Brewers. When they left the A.L. for the N.L. this happened.

Expansion hasn't reached the American League at this time. Several years down the road two expansion teams will go the the American League and each league will have 16 teams. This seems to be quite a revelation on your behalf, where have you been for the past ten years?
