When you think of Bagwell he was a whole player. He can field, hit, and run. I would not call him a mortal lock, but I think he has to get in. I so loved watching him play at Minute Maid Park.

I would have always taken over guys like Big Mac. He was a one dimensional player.

How in holy hell anyone can say that Bagwell will not make it into the hall is beyond me! The guy put up year after year, played his whole career in one city, and was a 4-tool player. He was notorious for being the guy who would constantly go from first to third on singles. Everyone underestimated his speed because he was a big guy. I love the fact that I grew up in Houston and had the chance to watch his entire career.

Anyway, I could go on for hours. Those who deny his HOF worthiness are crazy. The guy has better stats than some current Hall of Famers.

It's hard to say. I know Biggio will make it for sure. Bagwell definitely won't be a first ballot HOF but he might get in the 2nd or 3rd time around if the field is weak.

I really hope he will. I hope the "era" won't hold him back. When you add in an MVP, and how classy of a guy he is on and off the field, he is the personification of the "character" of a player that they are looking for.

good enough for consideration - but he's not a shoo-in. Getting into the MLB HOF is very difficult to do. There are many players that had great careers that have not made it.

Goodness, who could think otherwise?
