He did admit to you people who said that he didn't and there was no proof. Steriods also help oyu because people that get fatigued easily loose stamina. When and if Barry Bonds brakes the record he won't have many people cheering for him.

I miss Harry Carey, so I'm wondering... I got sick of the Cubs, just like I did the Indians, they just never win pennants... What is there to look forward to? How can a team keep losing and still have fans? Makes no sense.

I always thought the A's were in The American League and the Reds in The National League. In the 1970's they even went up against each other (several times) in the World Series...
Now I read that yesterday they played a game together in June, and the Reds lost 5-3.
How could it be if they have always been in different leagues? Which team switched leagues?

I hope there is enought of you guys left. Anyways, will it actually mean something if we win the Silver Boot this weekend? I love the Rangers, but I really dont see the point of only 2 teams competing for that.

The D-backs lead the NL with 42 wins this season. they are tied for the NL West lead with one more loss than than the Padres since they have played more than they have. Why are they not getting any love from the fans? They are young up and coming team and even though they played bad against the Sox and Yanks they are still only 4 wins from being tied for the MLB lead in wins. Anyone else feeling some love for them?

This is definitely the best offense I've seen in my lifetime, I was wondering how many of you think this could possibly be one of the best offenses of all time when it's all said and done?

They currently lead the Majors in Batting Average, Runs, Hits, Doubles, RBI, Total Bases, Slugging Percentage, and OPS. That's every offensive category, excluding steals, except Home Runs (4th) Triples (2nd) and On-base Percentage (2nd).

The teams that are typically referenced as having the best offenses of all time are the '27 Yankees, the '61 Yankees, and the '76 Reds:

The '27 Yankees hit .307, averaged 6.29 runs, and hit 158 home runs

The '61 Yankees hit .263, averaged 5.07 runs, and hit 240 home runs

The '76 Reds hit .280, averaged 5.29 runs, and hit 141 home runs

The 2007 Tigers are on pace to hit .295, average 6.18 runs, and hit 196 home runs

And remember, back in '27 teams weren't nearly as close talent-wise as they are today

What would happen if the batter was being intentionally walked and he swung the bat? Would it just be considered a strike and the pitcher would have to throw another one?
