They're doing pretty good right now. Last year they did it the hard way. So far this year they're on a winning steak. This is an advantage for a team that depends so much on their pitchers. They may get a rematch with North Carolina. This year NC is the team that will have to do it the hard way. I'm betting on the Beavers. I'm from Oregon so I'm a little prejudiced.

I'll wait until Monday, but I'm rooting for them. I also think they have a slight edge this year, having more rest. Last year was magic & guts. As far as I'm concerned, last year ended with co-champions; those last three innings were just for custody of the trophy.
I'd say the same for this year: each of the final four can hold their heads high and claim to be the best. Unless the Beavers blow out the Tarheels, winning the first two games by 6-run margins, I'm sticking to that story.
One thing I like about this final four is the team nicknames.
Gone are the fearsome predators: Bears, Tigers, Lions.
Gone are the intrepid leaders: Pioneers, Titans, Pilots.
Gone are the ethnic fighters: Chiefs, Trojans, and Spartans.
The best in USer college baseball is represented by Beavers, Tarheels, Owls, and Anteaters.

I thought UNC looked REALLY good 2nite against Rice. Both are very young teams so it'll be whoever can handle the pressure and whoever's pitchers still have gas left. I personally like UNC to win but I'm a baseball fan and will enjoy the series either way.
