Here is the scenario: The score is tied, it is the 9th inning, the mood is tense. The pitcher throws a bean ball, the batter is officially walked, but he chooses to walk up to the mound and punch the pitcher out for beaning him with the pitch.... Next thing you know the whole field is erupting with players running in from the outfield and the dugouts and piling up on the mound... What a show... It's even more fun than watching the game...

I liked the 80's I think the picthing was still great there was some great hitters and it seemed like everyone was on an even playing field You had the Home run hitting teams and you had teams that played Small Ball ( Cardials)
Pittsburgh was good the Royals were good
teams didn't only try to buy the World Series they grew players.
thats right the Yankees did try to buy the world series but keep trading great young players for has beens

im a third baseman who is struggling defensively. i can get the ball with my glove but my woes are with the throw. there are 2 problems. i have a less than average arm strengthwise and also i have a tendency to throw sidearm. because of my throwing technique i tend to be wild with my throws. how do i get stronger and how do i get out of my habit of throwing sidearm. im a good batter. i wanna be great but my defensive woes are really bothering me and stunting my hitting progress.

OK, so I got these two free tix to a Met game. I HATE THE METS!!! I cant get rid of them, there the worst seats in the stadium (Section 35). Should I wear my Yankee jersey out of spite? or something else? PS, its tomorrow Mets vs A's.

Just curious what everyones opinion is, Lets say a player has a Homer, triple , and a double in a game so far. Its the bottom of the eigth and his team is up by a considerable amount (lets say 9 runs) and he hits a shot down the line. Would it be in bad taste for him to just stop at first and not go for the easy no risk at all double? If this is acceptable... how about this, what if he is on the losing side and his team is down ten runs and its the bottom of the ninth with two outs?
so
1. player on winning team with considerable score advantage
and
2.player on losing team down by a whole lot of runs with only one out left
