As a Yankees fan -- but NOT an A-Rod fan -- I believe he is most interested in whatever gets him the most attention. He is an individual player in a team sport and rarely, if ever, is willing to sacrifice his stats for the good of the team. That said, I don't think winning is his top priority...unless he gets the praise for making it happen, i.e., catching the last out, hitting a winning walk-off HR, etc.. Unfortunately, for the Yankees, A-Rod tends to choke when the pressure is on, so there are not nearly as many of those plays as there should be for a player with his skills.

As for his appearance, I think he'd dye his hair green and wear cowboy boots instead of cleats if he believed it would make him a "beloved" Yankee like Jeter, Posada, Rivera, etc. Look at this year's debut of the tall stockings...hardly anyone on the Yankees wears them and he's never worn them before, but he's wearing them this year and it stirred up some conversation early on. Wonder what he'll do next? Just wait until this stripper thing dies down and there will be something else on the A-Rod horizon to get the attention focused in his direction...just wait and see.

Well, one thing I've noticed about ARod is that he's a fierce competitor, and we'll do whatever he can to win. I don't think there is anything wrong with highlighting your hair. However, if he spends more time focusing on his looks then winning, I think my boys in Boston might take the division title!

Remember-Britney Spears doesn't have any hair to highlight!

I recently saw a game on TV between the Yankees and the Red Sox. That particular game, I believe A-Rod went 0-4. During that game, the cameras cut to the Yankees dugout and A-Rod decided to admire himself. So you ask does he care more about winning or his appearance. I think that speaks for itself.

Man who cares....this guys on track to hit 800 homers. If he wants to look gay doing it...let Pay-rod look like a homo. So even if he does beat the homerun record we can always say...."Yeah he was good and he hit more homers than anyone, but hes still a douche"

Next thing you know, you'll be examining his nose hair.

Can't the guy get a break from being examined head to toe?

I'm oh so very glad no one cares that I highlight my hair!!
