You mean position players? I'd probably take A-Rod. Pitcher? I'd take Santana.

i agree with CR with prince fielder, but i would build it around the Milwaukee Brewers entire infeild. with Ryan Braun and Rickie Weeks playing solid ball and JJ Hardy and Prince soon to be all stars, they are already proving to be the backbone of the playoff bound Brewers and they are all also under 25 years old.

Justin Verlander - He is a great young pitcher and I would rather build a team around a pitcher with outstanding potential.

Right now I'd take Prince Fielder. He's young and has a tremendous upside.

I am not even a fan but A-Rod. He doesn't have a weakness in his game and has been relatively healthy. He does it all, fills seats and may break records down the road and I'd want him in my purple and orange uniform when he does.

As far as pitchers go, I'd say Verlander. he is very talented, yet he still has potential to get even better.
As far as positional players, I'd say Pujols or A-Rod.
