The only thing that has prevented him from having more home runs in his career was injuries, and he's still going to reach 600 (hopefully). I would say he is a lock.

Are you kidding? He'll have 600 HRs at the end of this year, if he stays healthy and he has a shot at 3000 hits for his career. Every player with over 500 HRs and is eligible for the Hall of Fame is in Cooperstown, with the exception of Mark McGuire and that is because of his alleged link with Steroids.

Ken Griffey Jr. is a LOCK!!

Yes. Not just because he has the stats to back it up, but it's also the way he plays the game. He's very humble and not as ambitious as some other players. Even at the age 37 most people still call him the "The Kid." The kid that comes to ballpark to play the game of baseball.

Yes!!! 500 home runs is the key. No one with 500 or more homers who is eligible is not in the Hall of Fame. Not to mention he is one of top 5 or 6 best ever center fielders of all time.

He could walk away right now and be a first ballot hall of famer.

He is a lock. Bet your house. Heck, you can bet my house if you want. His plaque is already made.

I do wish he got the opportunity to play on a championship team. Maybe he will be traded to a contender this year. My beloved Phillies could use him.

Of course he is. He is certain to end up with over 600 HR for his career. One can only wonder what might have been if not for his injury problems the past few seasons.

I think so. Despite several injury plagued seasons, he's put up big numbers, including 582 home runs so far.

There is no such thing as a lock for the Hall.

However, it would take extraordinarily damning circumstances -- like, oh, substantial evidence of wagering or abuse of certain pharmaceuticals -- to inhibit his eventual candidacy. So far he's looking good.
