Do you mean Anthony Gwynn Jr. on the Brewers? Yes. He has got to be the greatest off the bench guy since Manny Mota. He has a brilliant career ahead of him.
If you mean Daddy Gwynn, I dont think he is now, but he was for most of his career.

The most underrated baseball player is by far, Edgar Martinez, I'd really like to hear an argument telling me otherwise

That wasn't the case with the voters who put him on the first ballot. Personally I didn't see the Padres very often growing up on the east coast as an Orioles fan, I wish I saw more of him as another great player like Ripken who played the game in such a way that he earned a great deal of respect by other players, managers and by the fans.

Most underrated FAT MAN, perhaps, but not that underrated. Great hitter, used to be a good fielder, great guy with great attitude and well respected and loved by fans. Not underrated.

I think he is well known for his accomplishments. One of the best pure hitters of all time.
Unfortunately, did not play for a consistent winning team.

Dunno how a HOF player with lots of batting titles could be underrated. HOF is recognition of greatness, with several abberations.
