As a dodger fan, I cannot relate to the Pirates or Brewers which serve as a farm system for other teams. I do recognize the greatness of the NFL is that in the same cities, the Steelers and Packers have had dynasty's, despite being small town teams. With a level playing field, what would happen to N.Y, Boston and L.A? For better or for worse?

Tom Gorzelanny vs. Bartolo Colon. Is this the ugliest pitcher matchup in baseball history? Looking at this matchup and the two pictures of these guys cracks me up.

I think A-Rod will break the all-time home run record. If he stays healthy, it shouldn't be a problem for him. Thing is, are they going to question A-Rod, and put so much pressure on him like they are Bonds? Rumors have circulated around Texas that Rodriguez was taking steroids.

Can A-rod set the all time homer record?
He's been in the league for 14 years, meaning he probably has another 6 years or so left after this season. By the end of this year, I'd say he'd have around 515- 520 (492 right now). can he hit about 250 more by the time he retires?
who knows how far barry bonds will take the record by that time, but suppose it is about 770

Does his MLB banishment extend to baseball cards made by the big companies like Topps and Fleer? Like they are not allowed to mention his name or show a photo of him on a tribute or honary card? For instance: I was thinking should a future player break Rose's all-time hits record and Topps produces a card for the milestone, would it say on the back of the card "He breaks the all-time record last held by Pete Rose" or would they get around it by saying "He breaks the all-time record that stood unbroken since 1986?"

Just one time would you like to see an umpire knock a manager on his ***?

Every time I see a manager screaming in an umpire's face, I wish he would just deck the guy, consequences be damned.

It would at least make the game more interesting.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Red Sox's but they have given us so many reasons to believe they will blow this as of June 24 10.5 game lead. I don't really care about the post season, just can they win the Divison????????
