He has definetely played his way out of a huge contract. He's barely hitting .200, and since this is a contract year, teams usually pay players based on the last year. His great fielding will probably add more value, but he really needs to start hitting soon.

If there is someone out there to pay $125 million for a pitcher like Barry Zito and $70 million for an OF like JD Drew, I have no doubt that someone will gladly take a chance on Andruw for $150 million. Suppose the thought of him being signed by another team is dependent upon other team's need for a centerfielder with pop. The Yankees, Boston, Mets and Angels are four high payroll teams that may/may not be in the market for a centerfielder, while the Dodgers or a few smaller market teams could become likely bidders.
He has fantastic defensive skills and though he has had some troubles at the plate (no hits in over a week), he still has great offensive ability (currently on pace for 25 homers and 100 RBIs in an ugly offensive year). His strikeout totals are a bit alarming right now (could see 170+ this season), but I would put money on him getting hot and making contact more frequently than he has of late.

I think it's just a year of struggle for him. I don't see him declining further and further. I would imagine he would at least pick it up at some point in the second half of the season. The guy is quite an athlete and there will be someone(if not the Braves) out there to pay him loads of money. I doubt he will do what Jimmie Foxx did.

I seriously think the Red Sox will get rid of drew or Crisp and take their shot on Andruw Jones...but more likly Ichiro as the language barrier to land him.
Dice-K and Ichiro are close friends...kinda like the Clemens - Pettite relationship.

Probably not. Jones is one of the very best defensive players in baseball. His ability to run down a fly ball is nothing short of amazing.
