I've been gone for a couple days and just found out he's in the hospital, why?

FRIDAY against the MARLINS:
He was on 2nd, rounded 3rd and his only choice was to go home. He knew the catcher would get the ball. So he ran full-blast into the catcher. The catcher turned so that Justin would run straight into his shoulder! And SMACK! He did, right between his upper ribs. Morneau fell right to the ground. He was able to touch home plate, but didn't get up for the longest time.
He was taken off on a stretcher at the end of the game because he was coughing up blood.
He was in the hospital all Friday night. Lots of tests and x-rays. They said that he only has a bruised lung. (I though for sure he broke his ribs.)
Poor Justin! :( Everybody (Twins) were kind of shaken up after that; so we lost 4-5.
Olivo (the catcher) weighs 220 pounds and Morneau is 223. Ouch! Justin is benched for a while until he can play again; I think 2-3 games was estimated. It has been 2 so far, so he will be back soon!!!

Justin Morneau is in the hospital because he got in a collision at home plate and has a bruised lung. He will be with the team soon.

He had a collision with the Florida Marlins catcher Miguel Olivo at the plate and started having chest pains. He was also coughing up blood so after the game he was taken to the hospital on a stretcher.

Had collision at plate two days ago. Bruised his lung and was spitting up blood. All test negative and he was to be released either yesterday or today and they expect him to be back in the line-up in two or three more days.
