i dont think he deserves it at all for one he uses steriods. back in hank aarons days the bats did not have as much pop as they do now the balls r also juiced up better now. the fences were longer back in the day. oh ya babe ruth never used steriods he just used beer.

Babe Ruth will always be known as the greatest slugger of all time. He is still the leads the pack when you compare HRs to appearances at the plate. I don't think anybody who uses steroids deserves the record. Lets hope A-Rod or Pujols breaks Bonds' probable record.

Bonds, WITH OR WITHOUT STEROIDS, is one of the most talented players of all time. Roids do not help with batting average or gold gloves. Giambi admittedly used and his numbers were never like Bonds'!
He deserves it the minute he hits it out and I will be standing and clapping. Records were made to be broken or they are useless.
And don't compare apples to oranges. Today, Babe would be Austin Kearns and Hank would be Torii Hunter without the glove.
Oh yeah, Babes neck was much bigger at the end of his career than earlier. It happens to everyone.

Hank Arron should still have the record the most Bonds should get is a * next to his name. plus I think all the beer Babe Ruth did would make it harder to hit homeruns.

i dont think bonds deserves 756 homeruns considering every one knows he is or was on steroids it is really bad when bud selig or hank aaron want nothing to do with this

Most of his homeruns are legit. The cream used was just to get a few more years out of that body.
He's not using now and he's still produtive.
The record is his and you people really need to stop showing hatred and get over it.

Everyone with this steroid talk needs to get over themselves. He works hard to be good at his job and that should be congratulated. Just because one person yelled "Steroids" years ago, the rest of you sheep go right along with it.

If he passes it, he passes it. Nothing anyone can do. Asterisks will just mean that whomever places it on paper next to the total, it still counts.....
We'll see what the US govt. investigator will do after the weekend is over. That's when Barry is scheduled to be subpoenaed.

If he had not used steroids, then he would have deserved it. I don't think he would be breaking the record this year if he hadn't juiced himself up.
