About 2 days back, VVS Laxman got hit by Shoiab Akhtar's high speed delivery and ended up being retired hurt.

Who in this case would be at fault?

Is the bowler to be blamed because he should be aiming for the stumps, not the batsman elbow (since elbow is much higher than stumps) ?

or is the batsman to be blamed because he could have stopped the ball with his bat, but despite having a bat he still failed to hit the ball on time?

or it is neither the fault of bowler or batsman and its pure accident?

and when it came time for the annual visit to the White House, Randy Moss refused to go, as a political statement, would you think less of him?

I'm in a salary cap league and have enough cap space for either Moss or TO. Last week I went with TO and got burned. I was thinking Moss might be the better play against the Jets than TO against the Eagles at Dallas.

Who would you go with and why? One or the other - I can't afford both. My other two receivers (TEs count as WRs) are Welker and Witten, and their salaries are too low to drop one to pick up both Moss and TO.

BTW - this is a points-per-reception league

I've noticed that many Lakers fans on these forums give the stupidest answers ever. They think the Lakers will get the 2nd or 3rd seed, and they put down any other team that's not the Lakers. I've seen some respectable answers from a few Lakers fans, mainly the mature ones. But the rest seem to be Lakers fans with no knowledge of basketball, and all they do is talk trash on other teams. Anyone else know what I mean?

Nicklas Lidstrom or Scott Stevens

SCOTT STEVENS- Stevens was known for his clean but punishing open-ice hits, some of which have rendered opponents unconscious. Also known for his offensive abilities and his fierce physical presence on the ice. He is widely considered to be the greatest player in franchise history. He was the first player to have his number retired by the Devils organization.

NICKLAS LIDSTROM- Never a big and bruising defender, many experts say that the secret behind Lidstrom's consistent game is his ability to read the game; this, combined with his excellent skating ability, allows him to be at the correct spot of the ice at the correct time. Instead of delivering a big body check, Lidstrom prefers to steal the puck and create a turnover. His reliance on brains rather than brawn might explain his lack of injuries(has missed only 21 games in 15 years), and also draws very few penalties.

Who do you take and why?

A kid in my troop is on our roster for this year, but he hasn't been to any scout meeting/campouts/etc. for over 2 years. Is he really part of our troop?

If not, can he still go to Philmont?
thanks

Starting from scratch, which positions would you prioritize if you were choosing for your initial roster. Dont list specific NHL players/coaches, and dont just say "the best ones".

Example:

I would prioritize the defensemen first, then goalies, then centers, then wings. It always seems to me you need a good, well rounded defensive core before you can be consistently good on both D and O. And depth on defense core seems to be most critical when you consider injuries will occur during season and playoffs.

Your thoughts?

I would honestly say that I am an above average player on the court. I am probably 2 inches shorter than average. I also am able to hit the 3 point shot 40% of the time. Yet when I play pick up games I never get the ball even no matter how open or close to the rim I am because some people think I dont have the demeanor or attitude of a good player. I bout this training program which will give me the vertical leap to outleap defenders and get more rebounds so that when I get more rebounds I can just take the ball for myself and dribble and shoot and be selfish just like what was done to me.
