Oh boy.

Opener against the Flyers, down 2-0 Langkow scores 2 goals to tie it, although they later lost.

Tonight against Vancouver, down 3-1 Langkow scores 2 third period goals to tie it up.

Now this isnt only about Langkow, this game was AMAZING. third period was just insane, Kipper makes a few great saves on one end, Iginla and Tanguay back the other way and Luongo makes an amazing save on Iginla


So the game just ended and the canucks scored with 5 seconds left in overtime. Oh well, i gues its a plus that Calgary mustered a point out of it.

What, exactly happened tonight? Did USC self destruct, as per my prediction? (admittedly, a little premature, since I had figured Oregon or Cal....but I'll take it, and enjoy it)

And about UCLA crushing my Irish? (Now, I do expect USC to do it still....but we got nothing to lose....and you just lost everything. Everyone wants to say that ND gets bowl games handed to them...with that loss, you guys should not get anywhere near a BCS game.....unless of course, the media feels like giving USC another free ride.)

As a football fan from Los Angeles?? USC loses and UCLA loses. USC seems to be done they deserved to be booed of the field and UCLA is crap. Well there is always Cal i guess but i'll always be a USC fan. I feel so deppressed and emberrased. I hate Stanford!!! Well lets go Cal

I have 2 old japanese swords that my family has had for a long time.. One I'm focused on more than the other, since I found a certain signature on it. It reads in japanese characters:
O
Gasa
Wara
Naga
Mune
Sake

So apparently it is a name, and I found only one name online that matched; a person called Ogasawara Nagamune(Sake just indicates the maker) who lived from 1492-1549.
Now, the fact that it has a belt buckle which was common at this time(Mouromachi period 1465-1555) and has a Koto sword period(900-1530) style with a blade from 60-65cm leaves me thinking that it might actually be 500 years old perhaps. The tang of the blade (both blades actually) reveal a rusty untouched brown patina(not from rain), which is a sign that it is old.. So it's all good news so far. For some reason however, the sheath, tsuba, and fittings all carry the Tokugawa shogunate crest, the 3 leaf hollyhock.. Any sword experts out there who can help me find this swords origins??? jedimasterham@yahoo.

Personally, I thought that this year would be a building year, since we lost so many great players and leaders, (But we still have Zibby) and when we started losing left and right, I thought we would definitely fail this year for sure. Alas! I was proved wrong! Go Irish!
