Every other sport has standard dimensions for their playing field; i.e: 100 yard football fields, etc.... It's ok to design a unique ballpark, but make the field dimensions standard instead of having a "hitters" park or a "pitchers" park. To add to that, I know having the fans close to the field makes it more fan friendly, but move the fans slightly away from the field of play and you won't have the Bartman's or Jeffrey Mayers in Baseball.

tried to catch a foul ball which was going right at his head, but then it's ok for that kid to catch the ball at Fenway Park yesterday and took away a catch from the Angels catcher? That is totally hypocritical. So, what you're saying then is, it's ok for the hometown to interfere with foul balls and try to catch them if it will benefit their team, but if it hurts their team then that is bad. I think it's a shame what all of you Cubs fans did to Bartman. The poor guy had to go into witness protection and move to another state and assume another name, because of death threats, same thing with his immediate family. All over a freaking foul ball that Alou might or might not have caught. When it comes to interfering with balls that are FAIR, I see your point, that is wrong. But when it comes to balls that are FOUL, then it's up for grabs. The fans pay good money for seats, and if they will get a potential souvenir, I say GO FOR IT. I think they may still be upset bout last year in the swamp. The LSU fans are chanting F*** Tebow on National TV. I can't remember any other team's fans ever doing that. Can we stick the proverbial "they're done" fork in the Yankees? With that payroll and those stars/superstars, GM Cashman still doesn't get it. This team has no character. It is composed of a series of individual players who do not understand "team" like the Rockies/Diamondbacks, yes, and even the Red Sox. All for one and one for all is a phrase not understood in N Y. A pathetic waste of an old, ill man (George Steinbreiner"s) millions. Absolutely pathetic.
