It proves nothing. It just shows that any team on any given day could beat a team. UCLA hasn't looked all that great this year! With USC losing to Stanford it also shows that any Pac-10 team has the talent to beat another Pac-10 team from top to bottom. Notre Dame is an independent anyways and has nothing to do with the big 10. Ohio State sucks but they haven't played anyone decent besides Washington, Wisconsin just lost to Illinois, Purdue got beat by a highly overrated Ohio State team, and Minneota, Northwestern, and Iowa all are pathetic teams and they couldn't even beat the bottom of the Pac-10 teams the likes of Arizona, Oregon State, Stanford, and Washington State could beat those teams handily.

Lets see...Notre Dame beat UCLA, however Notre Dame lost to Michigan a team that got routed by a PAC-10 team Oregon. That doesnt prove anything to me, sorry.

The only thing Notre Dame proved was what all of the Pac-10 already knew...UCLA sucks.

lsu and ohio st are escaping... but everyone is beating everyone this year.
sec is beating each other but are actually doing fairly well out of conference..
ulca's losses to utah (crushed) and notre dame (enough said), then their domination of pac 10 teams is baffling..
louisville losing to big east joke syracuse (their only win) and others...
so in conclusion.. conference teams are overrated, not conferences... but you may be right with what you said.. it seems to be Cal and out in the PAC10 (that tenn. win looks better and better) .. usc is still a great team, but they've been shaky and finally the 'glow' is gone

Oregon crushing Michigan, did you forget about that one? None of the major conferences are inherently better than any of the other ones, they all have their good teams, mediocre teams, and junk teams. If you'd payed any attention to UCLA this year, you'd already know they have a reputation as a Jeckyl and Hyde football team. Cal and Oregon are still good football teams and even USC could hang just fine with the Big 10.

Can we lay off the Pac-10 bashing until tomorrow?
UCLA wasn't that good to begin with.

Pac 10 is now one of the best conferences for crying out loud! Big 10 is my fav cause it got Ohio State but you gotta admit Cal is damn good this year! USC lost but it was a narrow one I guess (I am soooo happy they lost! Eat my shorts USC fans!!)

Does that mean the Big East dominates because of South Florida, Cincy and UConn?
