I just read that the Pittsburgh Pirates fired their General Manager Dave Littlefield. Why couldn't they wait until after the regular season? I realize the Pirates haven't had a winning season since 1992 but this type of decision making might be the reason why. Why couldn't they just wait a month to fire him? At this point his firing won't make much difference for the rest of the season.

I play soccer for my high schools team. Im the JV team, and I know I could play varsity if I could just kick the ball better. I can kick it like 20-30 yards, but it only leaves the ground like a foot or two, and I hurt my foot every time (I'm right footed). I used to use my toe when I first started two years ago, but obviously your not supposed to do that.I ve tried using my laces, side of my foot, side of my toe, and nothing works, PLUS it still will bend my foot backwards or something. The pain is on the top of my foot, like where that bone you can feel runs from your big toe to your ankle. I'm not sure if this will help, but I have great ball handling skills, its just my long pass/shooting/field-crossing. I play forward and center-mid (inside and out). Can someone PLEASE help me with this? Thanks alot.

I am planning on doind my first duathlon next weekend and I'm a little nervous. It's a short one 2, 20, 2 but since I've never done transitions before, I worried about screwing up. Any pointers? Things someone would only know if they had completed one. I appreciate any feedback!

m a photographer and last year I put together a slideshow of my son's football team shots that I took during the season. Songs included the Queen songs, the Hey song, and We Can be Heroes. regarding the winner? For instance, Mike & Mike from ESPN will be in the booth for the second MNF game. They were making predictions this morning on all of the NFL week 1 games but they wouldn't make a pick on the Arizona vs. San Fran game because "we are calling the game". What is the reason for that? Are they afraid a public pick will influence how they call the game? Is this some sort of NFL rule regarding the broadcasters and predictions? Tony Kornheiser does the same thing when games he does for MNF come up on PTI. What's the deal here?

well lets me start from the beginning.

FIA have stated that the 2 mclaren drivers lewis and fernando and the test driver pedro de la rosa they have to co-operate or they might be punished.

and i think this leads to what lewis has to say

"Ferrari are being portrayed as the most innocent team. I do not think that is the case. I do not like what ferrari are putting our team through. I know my team, and we are being unfairly treated. It would be a great feeling to win in Italy this weekend. Beating ferrari on thier home ground is going to be a huge blow to their team."

I was thinking about Nascar races. I wonder- what do those dudes do when they have to use the restroom, but they are racing? They have to spend hours on that hot, naughty track.

Do they just simply do like I do, and drive incredibly faster when they have to use the toilet?
