Oh jeepers....yes I'm old. I get teaching tapes and CD's.....it's not music that the player is needed for. If there is a way to put my tapes and CD's on an ipod I'm sure I don't know how to do it.

I did not realize it was "open season" on our generation!

I never ran with a radio or music because I needed to listen for cars, dogs, bees, bicycles and any other odd things runners can encounter. Being alone with just my thoughts was such a relief from The World. But if I wanted one, an MP3 player would be small and easy to use. I got one for my wife and she really likes it.

I keep a lot of old things, but I do not believe I have my old Walkman anymore. I am sure my eight track player is gone, and I think my last B&W TV is gone as well.

Katydid, by the time you spend money on a portable CD or tape player, you can easily afford an mp3 player for the same amount.

iPods may be out of the budget, but there are Sansas and a bunch of other mp3 players that you can load up with songs, and it weighs next to nothing.

If you have a computer with Itunes get the Ipod mini, costs about $50 and hold some 200 tunes.

If you don't have a computer I'd get a cassette walman. Cassettes don't skip like cds

Spend a couple bucks and get an i-pod. Walkmans are so 1985.

What year is this... are you stuck in 1980 or what?? Go get an mp3 player (ipod)....

I don't even think you can buy a current cassette of your favorite album.

[at least I know you would know what an album is]

if the choice is between those two id say cassette.

But the ipod is much smaller then both and can hold many more songs.

2 words - EYE pod! (ipod)

Seriously -- they are relatively cheap, small, and holds a ton of music!
