Please remember, that for $100 you are not going to get the greatest components (reel seat, cork, guides) but you definetely will get a very decent rod to fish.
Cabela's Traditional - this rod costs $70 and would be hard to beat for value. Mid-flex, and decent components.
St. Croix Triumph - this rod costs $90 and is a very decent
starter rod. Medium fast action, stainless guides and an
aluminum reel seat.
Orvis - right now Orvis has some of their Clearwater rods on sale for under $100. They are a better rod than the Streamline and have a 25 year guarantee, the Streamline rods do not.
Redington Crosswater - This rod costs $89 and is a great value. Medium fast action. This rod has the most "crisp" feel
for any rod under $100
If you want to spend a little extra, it would be hard to beat a Sage Launch for $175.
If possible, try to test cast the rod before purchasing it.
If it feels right to you, then it is the right one to purchase.
Check out the Sage website, they have a Dealer locator on their website. For the most part, wherever you buy Sage rods, you'll be able to buy Redington since Sage owns them.
St. Croix also lists a Dealer locator online.
Since you already mentioned Orvis, you know where to go for
an Orvis rod, and of course, Cabela's equipment can be purchased on-line or if you are fortunate enough to live near one of their outlets, you can get a Cabela's rod there (and probably all the other rods I listed).

In what country are you based? I can help you out if you give more details. Orvis are OK but generally over-priced. There are cheaper options.

Check LL Bean - they have lifetime warranties on their product. The great rods like Sage, Winston etc. have warranties as well but are much more expensive.
