My favorite team: the Steelers.

What I would do if I ran the Steelers:

- Get rid of the new mascot: the team needs no mascot nor does it need cheerleaders;

- Bolster the scouting staff so that smaller schools with top prospects get more coverage;

- Do what the Steelers do regarding free agency: try not to sign more players than you lose & reap compensatory draft picks in the process;

- Sign heart-and-soul-of-the-team players long-term, which is what the Steelers have done for the most part: Troy Polamalu, Hines Ward, Casey Hampton, etc.;

- Be not afraid to draft the best players available & not reach for need positions, if possible: the worst that could happen is you end up with a team full of talented players;

- Set up a retirement plan for players: they have short careers & a lot of lingering football-related injuries, so any assurance that they'll be taken care of in the long-term will encourage them to give it all on the field in the short-term;

- Have a "company picnic" where the players and coaches must mingle for an afternoon with the hot dog vendors, the janitors, the ticket takers & everyone else that makes the games possible;

- Set up charity auctions every week for the jerseys worn by the players during the game the previous week (barring any relavant superstitions/needs of the players).

Who would be my coach? Someone who understands that defense wins championships & that the offense should be designed around the talents of the players and not the other way around.

Who would be my GM? Someone who deals as honestly and fairly as possible with the players, who always is thinking ahead, & who tries to complete tough negotiations early before they become last-minute compromises.

Kansas City Chiefs

I'd do much more in terms of getting reasonably priced free agents for key needed positions(cap space is there for a reason...). I would have addressed our wide receiver core long ago, many college teams have better wide receivers... I'm fine with how we are handling the draft since Herm got there, but there have been some questionable acquisitions and cuts at the back end of our roster. While I think we do good draft evaluations, \
the evaluation of the plaers on our own roster has been shaky.

Head Coach-Herm is fine for now, great motivator, I'd just make personal decisions.

Green Bay Packers are my favorite team

Mike McCarthy would be my head coach
Ted Thompson would be my temporary GM sepending if he runs the department a little bit different then it could be permanent

I would be a hands on owner and I would have a say as to player personnel.

I would build a little more offensive strength and give my quarterbacks a few more accessible targets; Favre must prepare Rodgers for the future;go after some help in the secondary and get a 3rd string quarterback that could be multi-functional and some defensive line help in the draft and a high profile running back ..

New Orleans Saints.

I would keep the coach and general manager the same, but I would make sure that these two things are done:

1. Draft defensive players, more specifically a linebacker and a speedy corner.

2. Lower ticket prices a little. I never liked the notion of a team raising ticket prices after a sucessful season.

Dolphins

move 1: I'd trade Ted Ginn for a box of Lucky Charms and some fingernail clippers

move 2: I'd buy one of those remote controlled blimps to fly around the stadium...and I'd occupy myself with that for a while while people I hired who know what they're doing, do the actual work.

I would however have final say on draft picks and free agency....who knows how badly the team would spiral down once that starts happening....

I'd also start modeling the cheerleaders more after the USC cheerleaders.......

OH WAIT: first move.....get to know Dan Marino and Don Shula....two of the absolute greats.

NY JETS!!!!!

Wouldn't do much but i would have to change the defense to a 3-4 not a 4-3... They dont have the Big Linemen for the 4-3 they would do better in a 3-4 that defensive line is speed not a whole lot of power.....Also I would have to find away to BEEF UP the offensive line to protect Chad better...The Tuna would be my choice for General Mgr or Bill Cowher...

Awww, couldn't it be NBA? Damn.Sorry, Sweetie, IF I actually got stuck with an NFL (shudder!) team, the first thing I would do is:
FIRE:
ALL of the THUGS, FELONS, GANGSTERS, HOODS, ANIMALS (oh, and the animal-abusers! I REALLY want that smug Son Of A Female Dog put down!! ) ....CRIMINALS and A>S>SHOLES in my employ.
I'm not kidding. Enough is enough.
IF I had a favorite (ugh) NFL Team it would be the RAIDERS! At least they understand what they do, and play it accordingly...
The NFL has the same amount of my respect as the Bush Administration. Zero. Zip. Nada. Murder Inc. was more respectable, and did a better job.

I would sign Byron Leftwitch to a deal and bench rex Grossman. If that option was out the window I would play Griese for this year and trade up inorder to get a qb in the draft.

Ja'ja before you fire all of those guys you would have to change your teams image as the bad boys of the league first.

I would get on my knees and beg Marty to come back. I like a 14-2 season. Wasn't like Marty was out there dropping balls in the play off game.

Im a Lions fan even though I know they suck...

So the first thing I would do is Fire Matt Millen. Then I would do what I have to in order to get Bill Cowher out of retirement, and coach for me...The rest would take care of itself....
