I was thinking about Nascar races. I wonder- what do those dudes do when they have to use the restroom, but they are racing? They have to spend hours on that hot, naughty track.
Do they just simply do like I do, and drive incredibly faster when they have to use the toilet?
What if they have to go tee tee?

Several years back DW answered this question. ( DW is an awesome broadcaster and voice in nascar. Always had a good mouth.) I remember him saying that they sweat so much during the race that going #1 hardly is ever a problem. And that #2 is usually well taken care of prior to. (Ever wonder what the F-1 drivers do for those few minutes before coming back to their cars right before the race? Now ya know.) As for those days when your really ill? Well that has been answered already too. Thats when the meds wear off that hold one at bay. Eat lots of cheese! LOL

Im just guessing here, But Id think theyd use Depends as a precautionary thing ... Yes they sweat alot. But That doesnt mean it takes away the urge to go to the bathroom. They do drink alot of water or pweraids or whatever they choose to drink through out the race. So ud think somewhere douring that time theyd have to do something???

This question has been asked over and over again. We really don't know what they do, we can only guess. The drivers sweat a lot during the so they don't need to use the restroom. Now if they need to go really badly like they are gonna be sick or something, then I would think they let their crew chief know and make arrangements for another driver to take over.

Remember a few years back, at Watkins Glen?
Tony Stewart was questionable to race because of a bad case of stomach flu. Not only did he race, he drove REAL fast and won. His team immediately surrounded Tony and walked him away from the car. When asked when Tony would be available for the customary winner's interview, Zippy replied "as soon as he gets a clean fire suit on"

They just let it go -- whether they want to or not. Remember the year when Tony won at Watkins Glen when he had the flu? He didn't immediately do a post-race interview, but instead went to his motorcoach to shower and change clothes before celebrating his win. I would think if someone is feeling that bad, it would make them drive faster. Maybe that's why Jimmie Johnson wins so much. Just knowing that Junior will be stealing his thunder next year might be making him ill. LOL

Stewart once was on FOX Sports' "Best Damn Sports Show and was asked by John Salley the very same question. He said if you have togo, go right there while racing in your fire suit.
