Why do the Americans pad themselves up playing their football while the Brits play a similar game in Rugby?

My friend got his bike stolen the other day. What should we do?

My friend, Jack, got his bike stolen the other day. He left it in the front yard because he was in a hurry. He usually puts it in the Garage. The bike was expensive, he said to me. What should he do? He is only 14 Should he raise money for a new bike, or find the guy who stole it, etc? And if he does find the bike what should he do? Go take it or what?

I know a lot of people are football crazy on this forum but what other sports are you'll interested in?

Well, living in the Caribbean, the most popular sport here is cricket which I do love also(cricket forum is kinda boring!).In my country(Trinidad and Tobago) football is also popular especially since we qualified for the 06' wc. Also popular are track and field,tennis and swimming which are basically the sports that interest me!

Why do American guys wear jockstraps?

I've read that when doing physical exercises a lot of American guys wear jockstraps. Here in Europe on the continent this is unusual. If I'd wear it, people would probably laugh at me, or at least think I'd wear some sexual underwear.
Where does the use of the jockstrap come from? How come it is so normal in USA? What is the advantage of it above normal underwear?
