Practicing baseball is always tough, without another player to work with, but here are some things you can do on your own:
1.) condition (running)
2.) Batting cages
3.) Get a bucket of balls, and throw into a net or fence
4.) Get a tee, and hit into a fence or out into a field
5.) Throw a ball against a wall to work on grounders
Of course, if you are really serious about playing, depending on what age you are, you will need more than just yourself eventually.

You can one of those mini trampolines and put it an an angle against a fence or something and throw the ball at it hard. It will create a popup effect to practice your pop fly catches. Drill a hole through a ball and tie a rope within it. Tie the rope to a tree limb where the ball is at around waist or so height and swing away. You can throw a weighted tennis ball against a bring wall to simulate throwing the ball and use the bounce back to practice fielding.

You can get a baseball net and hit the ball there. Or u can throw the ball against a wall and catch a grounder. Or just have a friend come over or ask your parents to play catch. I had the same prob and I threw it against the wall

To practice hitting u should buy one of these...http://www.e-sportsemporium.com/product.asp?specific=joeposf8...you just strap it around a pole or tree....then to practice throwing or fielding you can buy a small individual trampoline nd take out some of the poles on the bottom and lean it up against a fence/tree/or wall and you can throw the ball against it nd it will come back to you..You can adjust the trampoline so when u throw the ball at it, it will give u groundballs fly balls or just regular line drives...

The best swing trainer I've used is called a "Hit-a-way". We got ours from Dick's Sporting Goods but they are mainstream and should be available in many places. My kids use it a lot and love it! Good Luck!

simple, my son. as a former minor leage player, i can attest to hand eye drills like tossing a tennis ball while lying on your back...alternate hands to catch ( use one and two hands, left hand and right hand ) and simulate balls being caught above your head and below the waist. another excellent method is using one knee, facing a wall ( outside ) and tossing the tennis balll up and swinging through for contact. open your hips to the pitcher, completely. practice hitting balls to the left and to the right......need a trainer?
