if people are so Patriotic about this country how come the majority of people only fly the Flag when football is on, shouldnt it be up all the time?

neither, just mentally inept, bored sheep, if the media told people to jump off clifs holding a flag they would. the media needs to be stopped, football is just another excuse to get pissed, and act stupid.

Its a bit of both. People are generally patriotic but have nothing to get excited about. Its not only the football, its Tim Henman and Jensson Button. People jump on the bandwagon to belong and these national things help to bring us together. If Britain win something its good because it raises morale and there may be less crime for a while and the government like it because everyone forgets to moan at them.

It *is* up all the time. You should see my house! As soon as you walk in the door you see ARGENTINA everywhere; the giant flag, the mate, the art, etc, and we've been in the USA for 9 years.

because football is the the biggest sport over here and alot of people like to support ther country and bcuz its england we use the england flag.

most people jump on the bandwagon because they cant be arsed to be patriotic unless they are guaranteed success.

I am Welsh ... i agree with u I think that we should all be more patriotic I for one am proud of my country ... its pity more people arent....
