Do the Yankees have any other rivalrys with any other team in the MLB, besides the Red Sox and the Mets?

before the two teams moved to the west, the dodgers and giants were new york based teams and had tremendous rivalries with the yanks

The Mets are not really considered to be a big rivalry because they are in two different leagues. They don't play each other enough plus the impact of inner league play really doesn't effect the standings that much. The Yankee - Red Sox rivalry go back to the purchase of Babe Ruth. Since then it's been an 88 year rivalry that has seen the Red Sox on the short end of it for most of that time.............Ain't it Great!!!!! Love those Yankees!!!!!

Mets rivalry started only a few years ago. The Red Sox one has recently( 4-5 years ago), become overhyped. But the AL East has been a rival. EVen when the Tigers were in the same division as the Yanks, they were rivals.

The Angels have become a rival, of sorts. I heard something this weekend that said that the Angels are the only team with a winning record against the Yankees in the Joe Torre era. To me, that qualifies as a rival...

The Yankees and Cardinals were big rivals back in the 60s, I believe. The great thing about the Yankees (collective chime - there's something great about the Yankees???) is that they're the team that everyone wants to beat, so they're really rivals with everyone.

You really have to go back to the 50 and 60s but the Dodgers are a big time rival from back then.....should a "series" ever be set up you will see the "dislike" come out thru the wookwork.....but "hell" that happens whenever anyone plays my Yankees.....so you could almost say they are all rivals!!

I think the Braves are always a top team to beat. I personally am a huge Mets fan.
