In your ideal version of this hypothetical situation, would non-christians be asking questions about christianity in that section? If the non-christians we're discussing had no desire to convert?

When I was a teenager, my best friend became a born again Christian. She invited me to a weekend party at her place, and I accepted. I got to meet a number of her friends, and hear live music around a bonfire, which was all great until the songs gradually becoming more and more Christian in theme.

After about an hour of pure Christian songs, the lead singer stopped, saying that he felt the the presence of Jesus. We all held hands and they prayed out loud. 'Apparently' Jesus had a message for a certain 'someone' in the group, and that person was led to them to hear his truth and glory. grrrrrrr!

I was furious! I had been 'led' there under false pretenses. I lived far away, and had no way home. I was trapped. That whole weekend was organized as a 'rescue mission' for ME!
I could hear them plotting how to 'save me' while they thought I was sleeping. They truly felt they were doing God's work by lying, scheming and kidnapping me. The nerve!

Has anyone else been kidnapped for Jesus?

Judges 1:19
And the Lord was with Judah; and He drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

If God had trouble with metal chariots, why do Christians think he'll be able to beat the armies of the Antichrist?

How is it that we stray so much during the day. Our mind is like a sheep wandering here and there.. Touching the flesh.. touching the world.. just wandering all over. I was really appreciating that there is a shepherding One in our spirits. Our Lord Jesus. His sheep hear and know His voice. He bids us to come back to the green pasture and still waters of our spirit where He is.
2 Tim 4:22 says
" The Lord be with your spirit; Grace be with you"
I just love this verse.
He is near and dear to us.. but not always do we stay with Him.
Stay with Him when we are about to loose our temper.Or fall once again to our besetting sin. When we find ourselves being fashioned according to this age. So many things pulling and drawing us away from this Lord.
Please share of your day to day experiences of learning to " stay with the Lord' through all your day's ups and downs.
Romans 8:6
For the mind set on the flesh is death. But the mind set on the spirit is life and peace"

There's more of us then you think...Who are the Pagans?
I thought this would be a cute idea to share what we do with everyone, basically many people don't realize that witches, pagans, and wiccans, live amongs them, they are the same as everyone else. What jobs do you do? What is your profession? Are there others working along side you?
Is it easy to pick pagans out amongs the crowds of people we see everyday? Share a little about yourself, your careers, your homes, your life! Who are the Pagans?

He is the altogether lovely One.. Our dear Lord Jesus!
Each day may He rise as a new dawn in our hearts.. shining in all His splendor over the landscape of our innermost being.
Bidding us to come to Him.. eat of Him as the Fresh manna today.. Drink of Him as the Dew of grace. His sweet voice..His steadfast love thats new every morning.
How does your heart respond to such a lovely One? How do you come to Him each day to open your heart to love Him with Your first and best love.
Before the World encroaches upon you...before the flesh rises up and the environment comes in to wage their war... Is there is need in your heart to come afresh to the Lord?
Share of this heart of yours... this place that is made to truly love the Lord and be His home to settle down in. What goes on in your being, your struggles and your victories. Share with us.Be open and honest about this crucial matter in your christian life.

I watched a CNN special and these women from the Middle east were burning themselves to protest their hopelessness with their abusive husbands. What the H__ is that all about ? How is that changing things for you to burn yourself ? I would rather think that making him one of the girls ( if you know what I mean ) would alter his thinking a bit. Im sure he would treat me better and just think of the new job opps for him singing soprano in the local opera house.

Here's the scene: we're driving, and he notices my Esso Speedpass, which is a little device containing an RFID chip which you wave in front of a panel on the gas pump, you pump your gas and away you go...your credit card is automatically charged. He said, without cracking a smile, that the device is the mark of the beast, something about the end times and advanced technology. I waited for the punchline but he was quite serious, and he learned about it in church apparently.
