Well Jesus was at once human and God so I'm pretty sure it's OK for him to do whatever he wanted... I believe this edict was given to us the readers. When it was written the only people who read the Holy Books were Rabbi's and Holy Men, so this edict was really about staying away from temptation. You also have to remember that "Fellowship" means having what would be considered good of best friend relationships, eating together and worshiping and such.

The point is that what draws you to Messiah is repentance, and the choice to leave your sins. Paul says if people choose to stay in their sins, do not support them.

Paul said have no part in fornication and reprove those who call themselves Christians but continue to live in sin (like fornication.) Those who continue to live like that and think they are going to make it through the pearly gates are in for a rude awakening.

Ephesians 5
1Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

2And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

7Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

10Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Edit: 1 Cor 5
9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

This means that we should avoid as much contact with people full of sin as possible, they are very easy to follow and we don't want that, which is how Satan works. we want them to know that we dissaprove and this will show that too, we want them to follow Jesus. This also lets Satan know he cann not break us.===
