This is also a spirituality section. I don't care for religion but I do care for being spiritual. God is Spirit ..I have a human spirit in me to contain and contact God. I believe that this qualifies me to be here and to ask question on matters concerning things of the Spiritual realm.
Being a lover of the Lord is to be spiritual.

Every morning when I awake my very first thoughts are of my Lord and Savior. Then a say a short good morning prayer before arising. Later I greet my daughter each morning with Psalm 118:24 which is my favorite. This is the day the the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. While eating breakfast my husband and I usually read a passage of scripture Then before leaving each morning I try to spend ten to twenty minutes in deep prayer. This is the way that I start most of my days. Each morning I surrender my life to my Lord.

I begin each new day with morning prayer. I pray several times throughout each day. I believe in my heart that Christ will save me when he returns the second time. My life is hid in him. I am grateful that Jesus came and died on the Cross to me from my sins and the sins of the world. Indeed, his grace is sufficient.

From a Spirtualistic standpoint, I remember to forgive and not judge.

Today I choose Truth, Today I choose Love, Today I choose Peace, Today I choose God!

Sad but true, by myself, I am incapable of loving anyone, let alone our Lord Jesus. I am spiritually bankrupt in my own ability. It's only when the Lord Jesus came down from heaven and showed us what love is by dying on the cross for our sins, that I began to know what true love is.

Daily, I would need to remind myself for His love for me. Only His love will see me through the big and small challenges of life. I dare not rely on my own love for Him, noble as that may be, for my love is Jesus is miniscule at best, and completely undependable at worst. As it is written, "In this is love, not that we love God, but that He loves us and gave His Son as a propitiation for our sins." (1 John 4:10) And "We love because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

It is notable that the apostle John wrote these verses, for he had been practising the love of Jesus for himself, by addressing himself in his gospel account as "the disciple whom Jesus loved". John then received revelations of the love of God and wrote them in his epistles to the church. In comparison, the apostle Peter had focused on his love for Jesus, and he had even told Him he would never deny Him even if everyone else denied him. Yet during the night Jesus was betrayed, Peter was found denying knowing Jesus, whereas John was later found at the foot of the cross ministering to Jesus, Who asked him to take care of His mother.

But the Lord is faithful, and later restored Peter by asking him, "Simon son of John, do you love Me?" The Lord knows his heart, and gave him a second chance to follow Him, and gave grace to him to take care of His sheep. The more we know the love of Jesus, the more we can't help but love Him back. And His love is expressed in His forgiveness of our sins. When we know how much we are forgiven, we will love much. As Jesus explained to the Pharisee, "Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven - for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little." Then Jesus said to the woman, "Your sins are forgiven." (Luke 7:47-48)

May we have more revelations of our Lord's love for us, that we may show the same measureless and amazing love to others. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Sister Sandy,
I start each day in God's Word, just reading and studying. To do this I must rise earlier than I normally would in order to have that "alone" time with Him so that His Word can speak to me. I have found that on the days that I do not start this way, those days seem empty in some way. Rather than thoughts of pleasing Him, my thoughts are consumed with pleasing the flesh, things at work, etc. But, the days that I begin in God's Word are fresh, new, and delightful. The worries of the present evil world are put aside, and my spirit is at peace, free to worship, to learn, to obey.

Romans 5:1-11
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Grace and Peace!
Jim

Sandy,

Jesus is a magnet; He draws me irresistibly. It truly is a response to Him because the love I have for Him comes from Him. Without Him, I couldn't even really love Him.

There is a symbol called a Moebius Strip. I don't know the math behind it and some people call it an infinity symbol. Many years ago God showed me this sybol. He had me take a flat strip of paper-write my name on one side and write Jesus' name on the other side-then take the ends, turn one end over and then tape the ends together-last of all put a pencil on Jesus' name and start going around the symbol. Before long the pencil comes to my name. Before Christ I am on one side and Jesus the otherside and nothing brings us together. The half-turn and join is like becoming a Christian. This action makes a two sided line become a one sided line. It shows me how Jesus and I are one and how, after salvation, we cannot be seperated from each other.

I'm not sure I was able to communicate how marvelous this symbol seems to me, to have an actual picture of our oneness! But it thrills me so deeply inside.

Jesus is the first love I have ever known because of the severity and kinds of abuse I suffered from both male/female abusers. I was so trashed before I was even old enough to tell my right hand from my left. I don't say that for sympathy, just to help you see why God's love matters so much. I got twisted so early I'm not sure I've ever understood what it would have been like to be safe as a child. It makes me not take God's love for granted or take it too lightly.

It also means that for much of my Christian life I have been needy, damaged, struggling/failing, working hard just to get to the place where many people start. I've gone through a lot of rejection from people over the years as a believer, especially because I am verbal/articulate. They took my knowledge of the truth as how I should perform. They viewed my struggles as moral failures/unwillingness. If I had Jesus and a Bible what more did I need? This was a question put to me. The worst form of abuse, satanic ritual abuse(children are used in ritual worship of satan), was the cruelest nightmare of all; its effects the most damaging. BUT, the darker the enemy's attacks, the brighter God's light grows. If it were not for a handlful of faithful, strong believers who have helped me regain my life/my mind/my heart from this s.r.a. stuff, I would have ended up in a rubber-room somewhere.

I choose to share about this abuse, not because I want to (it makes me sick to even think of it), but because it happens to more people than we would ever believe. It is deadly, devestating and real. AND God can heal the damage done. Some have called Christianity "the only army that shoots its wounded". In some times and places this has been true and must not continue to happen. There are people who look like Christian failures. They look like spiritual rejects. Some of them may have "failed" for a number of reasons. Some have been like me, people who love Jesus so much - be are deeply wounded and can't "perform" well as Christians. I write this because of the hurts I got from bro/sis in the Lord who haven't yet learned that "man looks on the outward appearance, God looks on the heart." (I Sam. 17)

I'll wind it up here. I struggle daily in some areas of life; I am a broken believer. BUT, Jesus is there with me in the daily struggles of my life. One of the toughest lessons of the Christian faith for me was this. "God is building His Kingdom with broken tools!" I fought against my own weaknesses for so many years, wanting to be "strong" for Christ. Embracing my weakness and letting it push me into the arms of God is actually one of the most powerful things I do. The more often I do it, the better my life is. God's Kingdom works on opposite principles from anything in the world. It takes some getting used to it!.

God Bless You in the New Year! Sandy. LA

"This is a question addressed TO lovers of the Lord Jesus Christ."

Then you should have taken it to a Christian site, rather than posting it here and then bashing people who answer it correctly.

You have a lot to learn about how to behave yourself, kid. Didn't you have any parents?

God has my heart every moment of every day. YEt, I begin and end each day with a submission of my will to His will , moment to moment each and every day, dedicating my life and my heart to only God . I have a prayer I like to start the morning with, called the commander of the morning prayer, where I remind myself and speak to God of How He is in command of every all day, not just mine life, but that of the world, the govt , the leaders, etc. even when they dont know it. We may see terrible things going on, but its all temporary. In the end, we ALL shall see, God is the one that has full victory, and those of us that are truly His children, will live like Jesus Christ and have full victory as God has planned. Jesus came to give us the authority to be overcomers over all sin. Not just to keep us under that old fallen sin nature, counting on grace Those pure of heart, will see God. WE must renew our minds and our lives and our hearts, and our will to God daily, and REMEMBER to do all that He asks us to do and count it all as Joy.
God wants us to come to Him daily, and many times thruout the day. WE begin the day with prayer, and we read His word, and receive new life every single morning. No better way to begin and end a day other than being in the presence of God.
WE can only have peace and Joy if we have God, we can only have victory if we are in Jesus, being perfect obedienat as He was to the Father.
Love you sister, Shirley Mae
God bless you for your wonderful question.
and hey pay no attnetion to those that insult you or dont agree. They dont yet know God, Forgive them and pray. I just received a very nasty letter from someone that attacked me and called me named and said to close down my e mail cuz he doesnt agree with me. Like only athiests can have open e mails. They are close minded and are rebellious to the truths of God. Just ignore it, other than to forgive them, still love them, and keep on praying> God says one day ALL will know and bow to Him, but for many then it will be too late.
IF you are living your life for God and honoring Him thru love and obedience, those not of God will always want to attack us, so just pat yourself on the back and know you are doing something right. IF not, they wouldnt bother you or me.
They just dont KNOW God yet, but they will.
Never let it discourage you or offend you. Never.
Just know the true Christians on here, appreciate you so much and are so thankful to God for your presence on here.
WE cannot let the dark world turn out lights off, or even turn them on dim.
Shine them brightly for the world to see. and remmeber, this is a section for religion/spirituality. IF they dont want to hear any of this, they have a choice to stop coming. I fully believe, tho they deny it, that they come because down deep they are searching for MORE, just wont admit it yet. SO in that way I guess we should be thankful that they do come and even read our questions and answers, cuz somewhere along the way, they will KNOW. IT will possibly be something they hear on here that will show them.
Celebrate Jesus Celebrate. The way He works is just magnificient. awesome. oh yes. Praise God.
H A L L E L U J A H !!!!!!! thanks Shirley
