Shraadha is derived from Shraddha. Has the Westernisation or globalisation changed many Hindus from this ancient tradition, especially in Metros and Cosmopolitins?

I have received an email informing that the Danish Artist who
made a caricature of Holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace be upon him) , has been found dead at his residence alongwith all memebers of his family. It is also claimed that the authorities are hiding this fact.

Since I have no other means to verify, I am requesting the hnourable members of this forum, to confirm or deny this news.

My friend invited me to a service at her church and I was shocked to find a notice board filled with updates about their "Save a buddist campaign." IT shocked me, because I am a buddist and here they are telling me that buddism is the wrong way to live and its a "indecent " religion. Confusing because Buddism is not a religion but a philosophy. This campaign is some campaign that a whole network of churches have adopted and they go to countries like Thailand to persuade them to come to the good side.
Buddism believes in peace and Im yet to see a war caused by it, unlike the Christian faith which has killed more people than any other cause.
I would love to hear ppls oppinion, espiecally those who apose buddism.

In the bible, god ignored the rest of the world (China, Mongolia, Japan, Thailand.....and the list goes on) while focusing only on the Isrealites as they were the chosen ones. God said that the Isrealites are so blessed and blah blah blah..., but what we see today is somewhat different isn't it?

Christians, what is your thought on this?

Thank you very much to all who answer this. I want to preface this question by saying that it is not meant to make anyone feel bad. I would only like to guage the views of some people of religion with this question.

Do you think that one who feels that God is sufficient for him/her is superior to one who feels that God is not sufficient for him/her? Why/why not?

Again, thanks for answering.

Please provide your valuable inputs which stimulates our spiritual thinking.

1. Where I was BEFORE 150 years? and
2. What am I going to be AFTER 150 years?
3. Who are we? Why we are here? What are we doing here?
4. Is God Exists? If so, what is the relationship with him?
5. How I am different from the God?

P.S: "I" - Stands for you.

If you answer, "Through out the entire body," then what becomes of the soul of a soldier who had both legs blown off by a land mine? Is he/she now missing part of the soul?

Or, what about when an organ is removed due to disease? Do we lose part of our souls at that time?

Ideally I'd like to read two books on the subject: one a proponent of the idea of "the Jesus myth" and one a proponent of an historical Jesus.

I'm fairly convinced of the existence of Jesus, based on what I've read so far on the internet, but I'd like to research the subject further.

So...what books can you recommend to me from either side of the debate?

It doesn't matter whether you are a Muslim, Christians, Atheist, Hindu, Buddhist etc. Do you respect other religions (besides your own) by respecting their belief, ways of living or anything that has to do with their religion?

Celestial kingdom—Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ reside in the celestial kingdom. If you live according to the gospel of Jesus Christ and are cleansed from sin by the Atonement, you will receive a place in this, the highest kingdom, where you will live in God’s presence and know complete joy.
Terrestrial kingdom—People who refuse to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ but who live honorable lives will receive a place in the terrestrial kingdom.
Telestial kingdom—Those who continue in their sins and do not repent until after they have died, will eventually receive a place in the telestial kingdom.

As things are shown here, it seems quite clear that there is no concept of heaven and hell. But I can still figure out that the Celestial Kingdom is equivalent to heaven while the Telestial Kingdom is hell. However, what about the Terrestrial Kindom?

We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God's forgiveness. Forgiveness is available for all. But not automatic. It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven. Because who we are: Every person is a sinner. But how can a sinful person enter heaven, when God allows no sin?? Heaven is eternal life. How?? How can a person have God's forgiveness, heaven and eternal life, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord?? By trusting in Christ and asking Him for forgiveness, so we must to do this?
