After the birth of Jesus, does it not show that Mary is a sinner when she offered the two turtle doves, one for burnt offering and the other for SIN offering, in accordance to the law of Moses in Leviticus 12?

Thus, as Mary is a sinner,

there is no immaculate conception,
and as such, there is no assumption of Mary
and as such, the popes and the unholy blind (as opposed to the holy see) had been wrong all along in matters of faith and doctrine, ex cathedra???????????

That God asked that we celebrate Jesus Christ's birth and call it Christmas? I can't find it anywhere. Also, where is it written to honour his mother Mary the way the catholics do. Can't find that either. I really want to know. Please refrain from attacking my question. I know how the Yahoo Moron club likes to jump in where they're not wanted.

Where is the story of the creation of people? And does this affect how women are perceived or treated in Islam? Please include links, quotes, etc.

I caught the little bugger watching a Jesus cartoon the other day. He quickly changed the channel to a science program when he heard me enter the room, but I knew what he was watching. And on the walk to school in the mornings we go past a church and he always dawdles at this point craning his neck to try to peer through the doors, then looks guilty when I tell him to stop looking at that building. What can I do to make him as militant as I am about atheism?

i mean, it is a little silly, in the quaran it does not say that women cannot drive or in any hadith
it says that their duty is to teach and protect the children and thats it
it actually states that is the women complete thier duty to the children they can even work
my father says it is due to religous politics that started after
our beloved prophet mohamed passed away, Allah bless him

the Bible can't seem to make up its mind. Did they have editors back then to check for such things as internal consistency?

Is there any regular on this board that belongs to the ''other side'' that you have changed your opinion of? I must say I have. That Catholic Crusader kinda grows on me :)

((((CC))))

Happy ____ (insert whatever you celebrate)

P.S. Just for the record, I'm using the term ''other side'' only as a figure of speech and because I lack a better term right now LOL (it's past midnight here).

or how came the sheep keepers were outside if Jesus was born during very cold weather on Dec. 25? or Wouldn't be difficult for the rulers to pass a law that each individual should sign up their name during cold weather? This is not only for the rulers but also for people who were at that time would have been so difficult to do the job done. Then if these were the cases, Why should we celebrate on Dec. 25? Something must be wrong!!

I am a Catholic, but I like to know a little about people of other faiths.

I know Muslims believe Jesus was only a Prophet and not God incarnate. And that his teachings were corrupted along with the Old Testament.[some how]

So I would like to know what if any of the Bible do you believe in, as well as what proof other than the teachings of Muhammed you have to support the idea of its corruption.

to those who issue oppressive decrees,

2 to deprive the poor of their rights
and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people,

Isa 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD (ie Jehovah), the First, and with the Last; I am He.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Why is Jehovah in Isaiah 41, Who is the First and the Last, the Alpha and Omega, Who is the Almighty in Rev 1:8? Who is the Almighty Jehovah?

.....so Jehovah witnesses, those who can give an honest answer, Who is He who is identified in Isaiah 41:4 together in Rev 1:8?

Mankind cannot understand or explain everything, a person cannot know all there is to know. Faith in a divine creator/supervisor of the cosmos fills in the gaps.
We will always feel the need to controll the uncontrollable (prayer/rabbits feet) we will always have death and the afterlife to wonder about.
Once we have advanced to the limits of science, will we return to religion, or will science replace it?

Aren't there skeletal remains of neenderthal skeletons? Carbon dating states that the word has been around for 4.6 billion years. Ever hear of primordial elements? Those are elements on earth right now that existed in the Universe before the earth was formed. How do you explain how we can see light 1 billion light years away? That takes 1 billion years to reach earth. I'm not atheist by the way, I'm Catholic.
