The Law is the Law
This is SO TRUE & I AGREE!!!!
THE LAW IS THE LAW !
This is one of the better e-mails I have received in a long time! I hope this makes its way around the USA several times over!!!!!
So Be It!
THE LAW IS THE LAW
So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.
And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions
I would like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at heart.
BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?
Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings , I don't believe the Government and its employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.
I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the "US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.
I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."
In fact...
I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day....
What do you all think????
If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions" and begin, once again, to represent the "majority" of ALL of the American people.
SO BE IT...........
Please Dear Lord,
Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!
'Amen' and 'Amen'
Touche!
These are definitely things I never thought about but from now on, I will be sure to question those in government who support these changes.
At the top, it says "I hope this makes its way around the USA several times over!!!!!"
Let's see that it does. Keep it in your mailbox and resend it whenever someone new comes along.
God Bless Our Troops & America.. No One Can Take THIS away!

I never feel guilty about getting a paid day off. I live in the U.S., where we get less paid time off than anywhere else in the civilized world (including Japan).
I think the few paid days off I get are not enough, they're what's owed to me, and I don't care if they want to say it's for DICK Cheney's birthday - as long as I get a paid day off.

1. christ is not my co-worker. 2. If my employer wants to give me the day off for and actual co-worker's birthday, that's cool with me. 3. athiests and theists would complain if christmas actually disappeared from the holiday list in America.
I've got a great idea, why don't you join a profession that would need coverage today, (police, medical, fire dept, what ever) and let the poor folks who want to celebrate christ's birthday off. But you will not be able to have it off, ever. just putting it into perspective.

Nope, I get 10 paid holidays each year and I enjoy each one. I get paid for my Birthday if I take off because I get paid vacation and sick leave. Working for the government is great, they only except be to work 1760 hours a year and I get paid for 2080 hours.

Do you object to taking the third Monday in January off? That's Martin Luther King's birthday (or the day it's celebrated). Federal employees also get "presidents' day" (formerly George Washington's birthday) off. I don't hear you complaining about those.

Hello Bete Noire.
I think all of us getting the Christian accepted date of Jesus Christ's birthday (Christ meaning 'the messiah'), December 25Th. off from work Is totally a crock of sh!t.
I personally think each and every American citizen and for that matter, each citizen of every other country should petition their government to cut the sh!t out and forbid these 'goldbrick' holidays ! Stand up for what's right and dare to enforce your right to work without the benefit of paid days off for holidays.
Insist your elected officials remove this ancient and unforgivable memorial to laziness and sloth. Insist on their standing solid to the the written and proven intentions of our country's founding fathers when they included a separation of church and state be included in our constitution.
It is obvious their intention was to insure everyone worked every day of the year. It is obvious their intention was for everyone to never have their children exposed to God and the morals instituted by the religions of the world.
Any one can see it is a much better world since those who would abolish religion and the morals which go hand in hand with it have managed to get their ideals accepted and implemented over the last 30 years. It is also obvious how the lack of violence, crime and overall mayhem inherent in our society since the exposure of God and His moral ways of living have been restricted and, dare we say, stopped dead in their tracks since these enlightened times have taken hold to protected us from the evils of the worlds religions.
Yes, I think everyone should keep pressing forward towards eliminating any and all rights of these religious fanatics who have been forcing us to take these undeserved religious holidays off (except of course for Karl Marx's birthday).

Paid day off my heinie.
I work on salary and put in a six day work week 52 weeks of the year. The only reason I am not at work today is because no one is out shopping today.

Well if you HAD to take the day off and you can't help the circumstances I don't think there is anything to feel bad about. It would be another story if you took the day off to do nothing when they wanted the day off to celebrate their birthday.

Allegations aside, I'm okay with taking the money just cuz my business is closed today, and I can't get in the building.
