Ideally I'd like to read two books on the subject: one a proponent of the idea of "the Jesus myth" and one a proponent of an historical Jesus.

I'm fairly convinced of the existence of Jesus, based on what I've read so far on the internet, but I'd like to research the subject further.

So...what books can you recommend to me from either side of the debate?

Paul B: Thanks, I think I read that one already. You know...in 10th grade.

" though you might want to read up on logical fallacies because those who claim that Jesus did exist tend to make a lot of them"

You are, you realize, accusing 99% of the actual experts in the field of biblical history of making "logical fallacies", right?

Something by Robert M. Price would probably be the best bet for showing that Jesus was a fictional character.

Not sure about the other side, though you might want to read up on logical fallacies because those who claim that Jesus did exist tend to make a lot of them.
