So if I say I have "faith" that Jews are the spawn of Satan or if I have "faith" that men should be able to take multiple wives or if I have "faith" that condoms give people AIDS, then YOU are obligated to RESPECT my beliefs and HOW DARE YOU ask for proof?

Struggling to make ends meet on a first-call salary, the pastor was livid when he confronted his wife with the receipt for a $250 dress she had bought."How could you do this?!"

"I was outside the store looking at the dress in the window, and then I found myself trying it on," she explained. "It was like Satan was whispering in my ear, 'You look fabulous in that dress. Buy it!'"

"Well," the pastor replied, "You know how I deal with that kind of temptation. I say, 'Get behind me, Satan!'"

"I did," replied his wife, "but then he said, 'It looks fabulous from back here, too!'"

For example, Muhammad married his son's wife

Amos 2:7

"Father and son use the same woman and so profane my holy name"

Islam: "a martyr shall receive 70 virgins in heaven"

Matthew 22:29 Jesus says "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage, but will be like the angels"

I'v read that Jesus "peac be upon him" was never killed, he was taken to the sky by the angels, and he will return to the earth one day and save good people.

Cutting a long story short...I have recently discovered that I have strong empathetic feelings for particular people. I have noticed links with the people I have this 'connection' with, such as broken families, and also the fact that the person involved opens doors for me. The recent one gave me a job in a line of work I never thought I was capable...teaching, and the first developed my interest in photography -something that I am now studying! (coincidence perhaps, but I feel too strongly about it) It's all very difficult to explain!
I have to say that these people seem to have done nothing but improve my life dramatically, however, I am aware that I am struggling to control the feelings I get from them, and I find myself in periods of depression - especially when I'm away from the person involved.

I'd like to learn how to control the feelings, and perhaps learn how to use them, if possible?

It is so rich but doesn't share
You pay to save your soul!
it has only recently stopped discriminating people like the jews
It supported Hitler!
it causes overpopulation

However to be fair it has helped ppl

This for all the people who give up a certain percentage of their income to a religious institute.

I'm curious if you got a bonus this year, do you tithe a percentage of that too. How about interest gained, inheritance, or winnings from lottery?

We are very close to the discovery of "String Theory", if the idea of multiple universes becomes fact, would that have a negative affect on your religious beliefs. Personaly for me I would still believe in God. What are your thoughts.

I have heard that the people in the Kingdom of Judah were considered Jews, BUT could the people of the Kingdom of Isreal have been Jews also? Because they also were descendents of Jacob?

There had to of been a blood( genetic) connection obviously!

Think about it before you answer. Would you let your child go up in a plane built by engineers with blueprints, testing and all of that or would you rather they went up on a plane built by a preacher with lots of faith but no technical training...

Now I ask again, which is best faith or science?

I have to admit, I have a lot of respect for people on this site that can reasonably defend and state facts concerning their beliefs. Regardless of your faith (or lack thereof) I would like to know how far would you go to defend those convictions? Would you turn the proverbial cheek, or be willing to die for what you believe in?

Christ was NAILED to the cross. The nails did NOT go into his palms. They went into his wrists...which were considered part of the hand in that time/place...as most people consider their ankle to be part of their foot even today. Nails through the wrists-between the Radius, and Ulna-DO support the weight of the body, without ripping through the arm.

I got out of an 11 year relationship about 3-4 months ago and then got into a rebound relationship shortly after. Well it wasn't a rebound for me but he broke up w/ me so I guess it turned out that way. I still miss him and want him back but he doesn't seem to want anything to do w/ me or at least for right now.
Anyhow... I am really AFRAID of being alone. I am 26 years old and havn't been alone... really.... ever.
I feel that this is happening to make me stronger but at the same time I really don't feel like I can handle it right now. I get severe panic & anxiety. I don't like to be alone. I don't have friends and little contact w/ family. My ex-bf of 11 years and I are keeping contact and are best friends and he is the only glue holding me together right now. Things just did not work out w/ us.
So... I understand WHY God is handing this to me right now but I honestly don't feel equipped to handle it and often hav thoughts of suicide.... will God hand me something I can't handle?

...that Jesus' mother upon learning that the Jews were seeking to kill her son took Jesus and fled to the safety of Egypt. Egypt is not a safe place for a Jew today. The fact is his mother took him to Eqypt because she was the pharoah of Egypt. That wouyld mean Jesus was safe bevause he was not a Jew and was allowed to live in the pharoahs palace.
Proof: The pharoah's palace is where a pharoah's son lives.

BEFORE READING, RELIGIOUS PEOPLE BELIEVE HEAVEN COULD BE ANYTHING. I AM USING LOGIC FROM EARTH, yes i might never apply

Isn't good a offset of bad. Don't the other exist because of the other? To appreciate the good, and respect it don't you have to know about the bad. And if the people in heaven did know about hell. well loved ones would be greived, and fear would be created. Because without imagination, we are not human. And with my assumption with good, must be bad. and with the knowledge of hell and greif and imagination, naturally I find heaven is unprotected from fear, a tool of the devil, am i correct?
I am a decient knowledge of bible, through several years of churching and bible camp, I like enteraining the idea, but struggle with logical constraits as such.
THIS IS A PONDER, PLEASE DON"T BE OFFEND or HOSTILE.

The Bible is our guiding light.

What if we find on the day of judgement that the Bible was changed and manipulated by the Devil?
Are we then doomed to hell because of our mistaken faith?
Will our faith in Jesus be enough to save us?

And if it is our faith in Jesus saves us - do we need to give so much importance to the Bible?
